talk about all your favorite booze and alcoholic behavior

My favorite beer is an open one really (except for heineken, i fucking hate that shit. all it is, is alcohol in water)
Merged with thread on alcoholic beverages.

I'm a bit of a beer snob really, I only drink ales and microbrews.

I'm a reeb drinkin' workin' man, so whatever has the highest Alc/Vol. with the lowest price is the thing I grab for.

HOWEVER, my favorite beer is Point 2012 Black Ale, which is a regional brew. Also, once I bought a 24 oz. bottle of Arrogant bastard ale, it was a flavorful beer but paying $4.69 for a 24 oz bottle made my butthole pucker, especially for being %7.2.

Founders Dirty Bastard. Drink, but very carefully.

But most of the time, I'm a Jack and Coke or Southern Comfort and Dr. Pepper guy.

If you enjoy the taste of Swedish Berries...
Go to Starbucks and order a Passion Tea Lemonade, but ask for it with half classic and half raspberry syrup. The result will BLOW YA MIND!!!! *yawn*

You guys ever try a Suffering bastard?

I'm a bartender by heart, but I won't sperg out on this thread any more than I can control.

A great tip I have for anyone who wants a refreshing drink is this though: squeeze the juice out of about half a lime in a glass filled with ice, add an ounce and a half (about 3cl) of Cointreau, a couple of slices of strawberry (or some raspberries or blackberries), a wedge of lime and top with soda water. Tastes like a dream and will keep you cool in the heat.

EDIT: And I agree with previous posters that Bombay Sapphire is just about the best gin you can get, but I always go with lemon and maybe, if I'm feeling risky, a bit of orange in my gin & tonic. If you like that drink I'd also suggest a Tom Collins (2 parts gin, 1 part lemon juice and 1 part simple syrup, top with soda water and serve with a slice of orange for garnish)!

Motherfucking Caribou Lou and Incredible Hulks bitches we gonna party like its 2005

Gin and Tonic….Fucking mmmmm

Lord, yes, a G&T is my summer drink. Gin and ginger is also lovely. The rest of the time, bourbon ... rocks.

In New York, Manhatttans at the Algonquin, Martinis at the Campbell Club (where they make this fine item with gin without having to be told, thank you), Veuve Cliquot at The Plaza. Jack and Cokes in Vegas, Sinatra would be proud. At home, wine, many different kinds, just depends on my mood -- there is a fabulous place for Pinot Noir and cheeseburgers in beautiful, downtown Burbank. I loathe "toy" cocktails for "ladies" and those horrible flavored vodkas.

I've been reunited with my favorite alcoholic punch, Sangria. Not too strong and just sweet enough.

I absolutely adore mojitos, and I've had a hankering for one. Unfortunately, I'll need to buy the mixer and rum, and since I have to save my money for more important things, I instead bought some Bartles & Jaymes mojito-flavored wine cooler. Not the greatest, but not bad, either. I was able to down a whole bottle in half an hour without feeling any effects; the percentage is 3.2%, which, a few years ago, would have landed me flat on my tuckus. I seem to be developing a higher tolerance.

I don't care for beer, but a couple of flavors I did try made me want to finish the whole bottle. Samuel Adams's Cherry Wheat and... hell, I can't remember the brand, but it was an apple cider-type beer.

I know they're not considered "real drinkers'" drinks, but I wouldn't mind trying girly drinks that taste like candy. I got a mad sweet tooth.

Just got gifted with a bottle of Woodford Reserve Bourbon by my grandmother as a reward for a week of general yardwork and gardening duties.

As of today it has become my favourite bourbon of all time.

I finally got my hands on cranberry Smirnoff for my birthday. So good in diet coke <3

Oh I'm a sucker for any kind of cherry beer, but any of those hard apple ciders, while delicious, give me the worst heartburn in the world. Also, in my experience candy drinks are better done as shots. I learned that the hard way after I tried out a Swedish Fish recipe on my friends and they all started glaring daggers at me because it was too sweet. *yawn*
All this week I've been drinking gin and flavored seltzer with lemon juice. It's pretty perfect for a summer afternoon when you get home from work. :snorlax:

I'm getting tired of having to tell young 20-something-year-old bartenders to make my martini with gin.

This country has gone to shit.

I'm a seldom drinker. I prefer sodas. However I love White Russians and Maitais when I do drink. Also Drambui on the rocks or in gourmet root beer.

I just got a new bottle of single malt whiskey, Glenmorangie Nectar d´Or Sauternes Cask Extra Matured, and it is amazing! I've tried their 10 year old as well as their Lasanta Sherry Cask Extra Matured variant, but none of them comes close. It's a Highland whiskey, so it doesn't have the smokiness of an Islay, but it's creamy in all the right ways and just a little bit sweet. Absolutely delightful!

I've been meaning to expand from blendeds into more single malts.
