They like to brag that they have a lot of smart people with great knowledge of tech.. and many of them have bought domains during the dropkiwifarms campagn.
They would be able to have threads like ours, but on people like mtg and rob tyree. They use twitter to do exactly what we do here. They could also have all the tos shit of twitter (like getting reported for misgendering).
Why do they have to use others work and change it to what they want? They need to stop being karens and make their own...

I really could not care less what happens to Twitter, I'm just going to bask in all the seething and dialating. It will be interesting if many of the mob end up migrating to Reddit, in which case I'll wager it will continue it's decent into troondom at a greatly accelerated pace. But I doubt it will ever achive the same mainstream appeal Twitter has so they will be more contained.

Alex is pretty stupid (duh) if he thinks Twitter's ever been big enough to do Facebook like human moderation.
Twitter is already not that extensively human moderated, they rely on you blocking people rather than reporting them and then when you report them they rely on their automated system catching the language properly.
As for misinformation, check out these two tweets from two weeks ago that have absolutely zero true things in them that are still up with no misinformation/context tag by Twitter and no acknowledgement by the person who posted them that there's not a single thing true in them:
