Although the taxes aren't a problem, isn't streaming his "job", and wasn't he still streaming while in Northern Ireland? It seems he didn't have enough time to get a work visa and you cannot do "paid or unpaid work" as a Standard Visitor.

Johnny Fallout's family will be eating Thanksgiving dinner with the empty space at the table, which incidentally doubles as a better and less disappointing son. Johnny Fallout, meanwhile, will be spending it right here with us, finger hovering feverishly over the F5 key.

I think that'd apply if he was actually working and not sitting on his ass recording himself. I couldn't find anything on whether or not streaming was legally a job, but it's noticeably different than taking orders in a Starbuck's and more similar to helping someone move their couch.

TLDR; it's probably not official enough to matter.

According to Lucas himself, he stopped being legible for NEETbucks once streaming/youtube started bringing him enough money, IIRC.

That wouldn't mean the government believes he's employed, just that he has some income that disqualifies him from getting welfare. He could've also had it turned off if he won the lottery or got some inheritance. One thing is that if he did have his SSI turned off, that means he was reporting his streaming income to the government if that's important (I haven't read much of this thread).
 
John played Fallout 76 and used Bethesda's services all while complaining about them constantly while screeching about everything and even got himself blocked by one of their devs on Discord (over a Discord server ban appeal because he wouldn't stop messaging them about it) in the process so it's no surprise he's sticking to Twitter doing the same.

"They" practically fetishize fostering irreconcilable rifts between families for anything short of uncompromising subservience (like any worthwhile cult encourages of its members) and consider Thanksgiving to be Le Epik Genocide Holiday. What is there to lament from his perspective, exactly?
