I have no fucking idea why he doesn't do streams like this once a week at the very least.

This nigga loves to talk and even if his opinions are bad its fucking amazing he doesn't do this shit more often instead of regular dead silence for 20 minutes during PUBG.

Eh, the bingo card is filling up. But that said, you're right, he is better at this than gameplay and commentary. And his fans seem to turn out for this stuff.

The problem is that E3 is served to him on a platter. There are scheduled press conferences, they are a good length for him to break down, and the information is largely self contained so he doesn't need to look beyond them (and information that isn't, Phil does not have). If he had to go looking for news or information to talk about, he would have a meltdown about the level of work that requires, and he would run out of stuff to talk about eventually. Though the prestreams suggest he'll just start going in circles if need be.

I think Phil also knows that if he talks too long, he'll say something that backfires on him hard. He'll attack someone, he'll contradict important information stated previously, or he'll make a promise that he then has to struggle to backpedal on.

We all know if it was the same thing but with fighting game players he'd act like its HYOOJ and go into massive detail about it. Which is fine, if he was like "I'm not personally interested in that" and "I'm personally interested in this and know a lot about it so I'll talk more about it" but instead he says "Nobody cares at all, it was a dumb decision by them, everyone was bored" and "EVERYONE cared, this is huge and big and the right move for them."

Phil's coverage of E3 seems more bearable than his usual trash because of the way E3 is designed. These conferences and reveals are put together by PR people who know what they're doing. They're designed to be basic as fuck, with simple messages that are easily digestible. They want retards like Phil to talk about them retardedly - that's what they're designed to do. The information is all presented in a way that's easily repeatable because that's the point.

TBH it being an "online game" is genuine criticism. Games like Fallout don't really translate well into an MMO-like or "kinda online" setting.

The problem is going half-Fallout and going half-MMO. You either go full on MMO/multiplayer, make it a separate mode to the single player or don't bother doing it.

Bethesda is just taking a single player game and forcing multiplayer/co-op elements.

Multiplayer is what you want to tell your shareholders about because if you're not pushing multiplayer on every property you own, then you're just throwing away shekels!

During his most recent REEEEEmergency stream, he got about 30-35 legit subs (not resubs, not gifts). He's also, though, gotten 23 gifted subs so far this month. That's in addition to 35 or so last month. So around the end of the month, there's a decent chance he'll be back to 450. After that, it depends on whether he retains his legit subs or not.
