It's cheap but it's too late to solve the problem because Rogaine restores some, not all, hair on the crown of the head. Starting it now might set him back to Norwood stage 4 or late Norwood stage 3, but he'd still have a widow's peak and the bald spot would still be there even if it shrank. In short, if he wanted to solve the problem with Rogaine he should have gone on it ten-plus years ago.

Edit to Add: to tie back to my earlier post, minoxidil is the generic name for Rogaine. The other drug I mentioned, finasteride, is commonly prescribed with minoxidil and has similar effects.

We have no way of knowing. The Norwood scale is a flawed system since not all male pattern baldness progresses the same way and even if you ignore that, it says nothing about when or even if Phil will progress to the next stage. This also applies to gray/white hairs (though I doubt we will ever see those because I believe he uses hair dye).

I was sad to see that this wasn't updated since he got his "streaming" pc.

Sad he thinks he balding gracefully. That poor hairstylist has to cut and dye this grease trap.
 
Great advice for DSP: find some kind of hairloss or whatever brand that deals with that shit and get a sponsorship.

He unironically has a bunch of people watching the status of his hair (with a 55 page thread on KF plus hundreds of detractor videos that mention it).

Hair loss is a pretty niche market (not really niche but not super widespread) so he could probably get a decent amount of money if he did a good deal.

It looks like he is going to have the front hair island on his head. He may become 90% bald, but as long as he has that tuft of hair in the front, he can cope.

Also, his hair loss has really escalated over the past couple of months. The river of baldness in this picture was not visible even 6 months ago.

What person who is nothing like Phil are you talking to here?

Setting aside whether your idea would work, Phil has the life skills + mindset of a 12-year-old if we're being mean or late teens/early twenties if we're being generous. He's not about to admit he's going bald and start promoting hair regrowth meds, that's for old people! He's still in the prime of his youth!

If he was smart, he would of done Rogaine as soon as this thread was created. If he starts now or later people will clown on him harder than if he did it in the past. Not like it would stop him from doing it now but it would definitely hurt his ego.

Luckily for us Rogaine would be unhelpful: the closer the hair loss is to the crown and the more recently the hair loss has started, the more effective Rogaine is.

DSP is neither, has balding problem goes back ten-plus years and it has developed into a very narrow, erratically shaped path to his hairline. He could take a double or triple use and it'd do nothing.
