So I use duckduckgo in chrome and I don't want to go through the hassle of signing into all my accounts like the farms or YouTube but is it worth just switching to brave and having to go through the hassle?

If you keep all your login information on the browser you can migrate the logins to brave.
The Brave adblock also seams to work a lot more then other adblocks for me but that varies from site to site person to person.

I've never had any issue with my adblock extension. I use uBlock Origin by the way.

In terms of search engines; I trust Brave more than (((duckduckgo))) as of late, for a few reasons. Though both seem to have issues with search optimization/results/manipulation. Brave works with javascript disabled, which is a big plus.

But you're talking about browsers primarily, and not search engines, it seems. For this I use Firefox, because of the level of customization I require. In having the ability to heavily modify the browser, Firefox wins every time.

That being said, you should always have your browser set to delete everything at the end of every session, and just sign into sites as needed. Never stay signed in.

I use brave + adnausium see no ads. For someone who just wants to search with little hassle barve is fine.

Needing to sign back into everything shouldn't be an issue these days. Use a password manager like Keepass (I use Keepassxc) or something and it's painless. I'd take this opportunity to hop on over to Brave (anything but Chrome) and also start using a password manager.
Store a copy on a USB, external drive and/or remotely as well since it becomes keys to the kingdom.

You are not using Brave and giving Josh money? What are you? Some kind of nihilist?

Yes. I like brave more as a browser than chrome, but ddg is a better search engine than Brave's.

Don't keep your account details in your browser. Keep them in an encrypted password manager.

I've barely had problem using Brave. Its quite similar looking to Chrome so it shouldn't bother you much. One of my favourite things so far is the built in ad-block and Brave ads aren't as evasive or annoying and you can even get rid of them all together.

I tend to alternate between all of them to see if one of them will show me something that the other doesn't. For example, some links (like those to z-library for example) only show up on Duckduckgo, Yandex or Searx, and other times images that don't show up anywhere will show up on Bing, and other times Bing and Yandex will usually give me more accurate results, however as much as I hate jewgle, it will usually give me better results on more recent things but its pretty unusable now, hell you can't even search animal names without getting links to streaming services or products, and jewgle will even erase or hide older images and links of something that's trending, like hiding old stuff relating to old events that are relevant again or rebooted franchises. Yandex Images though is probably the best for reverse searching images. I also have to stress that the only worth DDG has for me is torrent links and whatnot. Brave is also pretty good, but I don't use it for searching much, but its still a great browser (although the interface still kinda sucks).

Overall I'd say the search engine that's been most helpful to me has been Yandex.

I hate to say it, but I feel like there is not a really good all around solution to the Search Question yet. Brave Search started off interesting but I don't really see anything that different from DDG right now. We don't need another Google clone, any real replacement for Google has to start with the premise that what Google has done with searching is evil and wrong and fucking up the entire internet.

It's a different question from the browser, which I use on both mobile and desktop (so don't ban me Fearless Leader). The browser itself my main gripe is that sync has never been that good and what they have no breaks all the time.
