Thread for posting personal dumb learnings.

You can chill beer in early to mid spring to drinking temp with just a window fan and sill, but still feel a comfy room temp.

Only for the laziest of alcoholics.
 
You can usa an adapter for the GBA* that goes in the battery compartment in the Wii remote for a Wii remote that never runs out of battery power.

Set a timer though. You will forget it and regret it.

Another (related) thing not everyone knows, if you have something more alcoholic then beer you can keep it cold in the freezer, the alcohol will lower the freezing point low enough that it will stay liquid. This is useful if you're using alcohol in a cold mixed drink or are just the kind of pansy that wants to drink liquor but doesn't want to taste it.

Side note: wine is on the good idea/bad idea cusp for this one, don't blame me if it freezes and you have to deal with it. If you want to be safer only do this for open bottles.
 
Used to keep rum in the freezer. Appleton Estate is great that way.

If you don't have a magnetic screwdriver and need one, no need to buy one. Just rub your standard one on a magnet. Just the tip, though. Rubbing the shaft will cause problems. Get your mind out of the gutter.
 
On the topic of alcohol: if you have beer and want to get hammered without drinking that much, put them in the freezer and when mostly frozen chug the liquid while feeling really trashy.
