Dumb Shit on Wikipedia

I just checked this earlier but there was a Jan 6 spergout paragraph because one fucking guy was at the rally from this town, and it was the size of the part on the tornado. Don't berlieve me?

We really need something meme equivalent to this but for events like the capital riots or the 2016 election

fucking washing machines.png

This is so stupid. A tvättstuga is literally just a communal laundry room. It's just a communal laundry room in Sweden or Finland. There's not even a Finnish Wikipedia page on it! It is so unnotable that half of the countries who purportedly have this strange and wonderful thing "A tvättstuga (or laundry room)" doesn't even bother with a page for it. Why does this page still exist? It has no sources. It has had no sources for nearly 15 years. It is a laundry room.

Its only mention on the Wikipedia page for "Laundry room" is in the see also section, which reads "Tvättstuga, a community laundry room in Swedish housing cooperatives." That is enough. That can be a sentence on "Laundry room." It doesn't need a page! The Hunagarian mosókonyha (lit. "washing kitchen") is perfectly fine without an entire Wikipedia page.

So a fucking laundry room in an apartment block gets a article but Chris-Chan doesn't? Tell me, dear kiwis, what is more culturally relevent?

This is still one of the most autistic things ive ever read

I'm referring to Stanley Kubricks article and the infobox war that went on for atleast 5 years

That's the reason the Stanley Kubrick article looked the way it did for so long? Holy shit. Wikipedia is such a joke.

The "but he was convicted of murder!" argument doesn't apply to their darlings, of course. Check out how Mumia Abu-Jamal is covered.

The image for his article is a pro-Mumia mural depicting him as unjustly imprisoned. The categories for this nobody cab driver and unrepentant murderer include "Human rights activists", and none call him a killer outright, just "convicted". (By contrast, Derek Chauvin is in category "American murderers".)

But here's a real money quote:
faulkner-was.png

That's right, "Faulkner was shot." I guess bullets are like SUVs, they just hit people.

I love these. If I ever get around to writing a replacement for the lazy-ass shitpost I started this thread with I will definitely include it.

Quickie I found concerning the Broken Buck Tariq Nasneed, concerning the disparity of Wiki's tendency to call any right-leaning commentator a white supremacist:

Actually, the whole talk section is a mess trying to play footsie with the fact that they treat a violently misogynistic and homophobic black supremacist with kid gloves.
I should probably crosspost onto his cow thread, but I'm not sure if it's been stated there yet.
He doesn't provide any actual source that calls him a black supremacist so that's kinda fair.
But of course, if he actually had provided a source they would probably give some random reason of why that source doesn't count.

There are a handful of users absolutely obsessed with keeping infoboxes off of certain pages. I have no idea why this is, but they've had a complete and total stranglehold on a few incredibly famous people's pages for over a decade.
Imagine the sheer level of crippling autism necessary to fuck up an article for years for no sane reason whatsoever. These people need to be gassed.

Guess Wikipedia loves BBC. (Not the News Network. The OTHER BBC)

That's really a moot point considering that Wikipedo will use some random left-wing website calling a conservative a far-right white supremacist fascist as enough of a source to justify using those descriptors in the opening statement of an article.

Should be put in his thread as well?

So one thing I noticed after review is that it doesn't even reference his masterpiece "Buck Breaking" once in the article. That's probably one of Sneed's most prominent pieces of media, and not a peep about it.
Well someone should mention it

This is fairly standard for tardpedia, if you are one of their pet retards, they will literally just completely ignore your most famous piece of media if it is obvious lunacy like Buck Breaking. Welcome to Wikipedo, the most utterly fake "encyclopedia" that ever existed.

I know it's been said before and the joke may have been driven into the ground, but Christian/Christine Weston Chandler is one of the most documented people alive, and the fact that he doesn't have a Wikipedo page is a good sign that the admins will suppress information that makes their side look bad while drumming up information to smear their political enemies.

The wikipedia articles for small abo welfare towns are amazing because you find little gems like this.

These joyless sacks of shit censor the real stories and put in some corporate bullshit made up by the town council trying to make it look like it isn't a welfare hole for methlabs. Nobody wants to visit Port fucking Augusta and get lead poisoning before they even get shot. People want to know more about Olivia Ryan, the best child ever.
