There is also an article listing coups chronologically (not by country), and its coverage is more expansive:

They appear to feel the need to justify the designation in the text, so they find a bunch of retards who called it an attempted coup, and Bannon's non-literal off-the-cuff comment.

At least the talk pages show there is controversy over this inclusion, with it being added relatively late after long resistance.

The idea of a "coup attempt" is potentially very broad. The list by countries article includes the Whitmer kidnapping plot invented by the feds that would never have realistically happened:

If trailer park nobodies nodding along to an insane plot against an elected official meets the standard, the list could be made a lot longer. Every attempted assassination would be a coup attempt. They can add John Hinckley Jr. to the list. The shooting of Steve Scalise could count. And BLM's 2020 assault on the White House. Somehow I don't expect those to be added to the list.

Holy shit Wikipedos are actually taking the Business Plot as a legit thing now. So a bunch of elite businessmen plotting to control the US back then is true and happened but today that's a deboonked conspiracy.

I wonder what would happen if you engaged one of them on talking about the Business Plot and as they enthusiastically talk about evil fascist leaning capitalist moguls you point them to the current U.S. lobbying and things like Time's article where they brag that media and big money joined forces in the US Trade Commission to ensure no legal challenge to the 2020 results would ever be heard and that Trump would leave...

You might actually cause a aneurysm on them. It is quite amazing how the sort of person who falls for this sort of shit simply cannot put themselves on the shoes of others for all they claim to be empathetic.

Especially since these types claim to hate lobbying when it's done by groups like the NRA or similar 'right wing' groups. Bringing up people like Soros buying out DA appointees to spending billions during campaigns and all the other rich elite assholes doing shit like that isn't kosher when it is the 'good guys'

Rare based wikipedia moment
Yeah other that the fact it's probably best to have one centralized article discussing this stuff and more citations this is exactly why the idea of Wikipedia is good and better than a print encyclopedia.
