Dumb Shit on Wikipedia

It's not like this was normal law inheritance law, it was a proclamation by Soviet Poland after the war and didn't require the Jews to actually be dead. The government immediately nationalized all property confiscated by the Nazis, which was pretty much all Jewish property and relatively little Gentile property, whether or not the survivors were alive. They also nationalized all property "abandoned" by their owners at the end of the war, and of course very few Jews were in active possession of their property at that point. I don't think either of these laws allowed for heirs. It probably didn't matter much in the end because very few Jews wanted to go back to an increasingly bad Poland anyway, but the fact that the Nazis and then the Communists took confiscated most of their property while they were in limbo didn't help.
This is so fucking dumb it's unbelievable... For starters over one third of pre 1939 poland was annexed by by the Soviet Union in 1945. So it's currently Belorussian or Ukrainian. The Poles didn't get any compensation for that did they?

This whole schtick about lost property is bullshit because for example many farmers were tenant farmers... and guess who owned the fucking land?

This whole idea that is held by sections of US and Israeli jews, that think becaue their great aunt once removed left Poland at some point, there's actually a massive inheritance to be gained if they can just find the right lawyer... Is a myth.

So many... People... seem to have fantasies that they're going to be able to repeat the story of the Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer, and have a priceless work of art removed from public display in a museum, to be sold to the Lauder family... and then have a shitty movie made about their struggle.

You will see woketards literally just outright lie about what sources said, whether because they are actually too dumb to understand what the sources actually said, whether they look at everything through the lens of their retardation, or just deliberately lying.
Some of the retarded sourcing makes me convinced whoever moderates sources doesn't actually read them. I'm sure I could throw a random source into a article of my choice and say the source says whatever drivel I type out and it would get a free pass for years until someone is actually assed to read it. I think the one Armenian Genocide German General guy that was posted here's source on being the influence was a literal blogpost.
It's probably more of an issue that such intestate successions, or successions where all the heirs had died, generally occurred after they massacred entire villages.
Yes, most of the defacto state inheritances were a result of entire families being wiped out, the rest being Commie bullshit postwar.
Double standards are the bread and butter of the far left, always have been.
"The London Blitz/Pearl Harbor were war crimes!"
"What about Dresden/Tokyo?"
"Well they started it!"
This eye for an eye crap is genuinely insane. In any other event lefties would call it awful nut when it is The Bad Guys who did it first it is ok.
I feel great anger and disgust towards Jewish/Zionist advocacy groups when they falsely slander Poland and distort history for their own propaganda. So many Poles died in the holocaust and took their lives trying to save innocent Jews from being taken away and killed by the Gestappo. Then when Poland refutes these claims, the Zionists will scream and accuse them of being "Nazis", "collaborators", and "far right", despite the fact that very few Poles collaborated with the Nazis. The Polish hate the Nazis and "far right" nationalist extremists.

Ungrateful pricks.
Yeah but Poles didn't try hard enough and some of them ratted on Jews, thus the entire nation must be condemed and cudgeled as beneficiaries of the Shoal (conveniently when Poland is being slammed as a racist state as well for not loving mass immigration).

That article is genuinely infuriating. Dumb bitch didn't even actually want to keep it, just screeched antisemitism for a guaranteed win in the legal cases and sold it for almost 140mil.

It's amazing the Tokyo article even offhandedly mentions it might've been a warcrime. Dresden's been locked down forever by asserting any claims of it being a crime are "Nazi conspiracy theories."
The belief that it was a war crime is hardly limited to "Nazis" or even right-wingers. Kurt Vonnegut considered it one and he was literally there.

War is awful and whoever wins almost always did absolutely horrific shit to win. That's why it should be avoided at almost all costs.

Umm sorry sweetie, that's just 100% unadulterated Wehrmacht propaganda, just like that silly Holodomor myth. Trust me, I have a star on my wikipedia page. :)

Reminds me of American communists and communist sympathizers going to the Soviet Union in the 50s when they were purging Jews for alleged Zionist ties and claiming there was no antisemitism going on.

It'a funny that in the end the people who've never lived under communism love it the most, and the people who have hate it the most.

In the 1930's thousands of American emigrated to the USSR. If you do a search for it on google the majority of results are articles decrying how terrible the US was, women had only just gotten the right to vote etc, and how the USSR was so progressive.

In the late 1930's when Ford motors were building factories across the USSR, the American engineers would regularly be approached by Americans begging for help to get out.

This is an LA Times article from 1991 which probably wouldn't be published these days.

If I'm not mistaken during the civil war in Russia and subsequent Soviet Regime American journalists lied countless times about Soviet massacres of peasants and intentional famines like the Holodomor as well.

Any American that went to that shithole voluntarily should've had their citizenship revoked on arrival for all I care. Seriously, people talk about the Red Scares America had as if we were locking hundreds of people in prisons for criticizing capitalism but they were remarkably tame and hampered by government bureaucracy.

Ironically, at least some of these people ended up shot/gulag'd by Stalin under the accusations of being spies or other counter-revolutionaries. Like here's a black guy, "the reddest of the blacks" who died in a gulag.

Wikipedia has an entire category that shows victims by country with the helpful description:
"People who were killed in Joseph Stalin's Great Purge (1937–1938) and in follow-ups and cleanups."

Anyone ever notice that Wikipedia has some bizarre notions of copyright? I noticed this ugly image on several game boy related pages awhile back:

Nintendo_Game_Cartridge_Size_Comparison.jpg

and its unnecessary censorship. With the blurring, the picture is so ugly you may as well use a picture of carts with the labels removed instead. Has anyone heard of pictures of labels as being copyright violations under any circumstances? They would seem like textbook cases of fair use (something wikipedia seems disdainful of in general). Yet sure enough:

To be fair Nintendo is known for their autistic copyright policy.

Bear in mind most of these polls are based at least partly on nostalgia. Notice it is mostly shitholes or backwater countries with nostalgiafor communism. That's due to the same mentality a lot of Americans on the right look back fondly at the 50s. Streets were clean, people were well dressed, society was for the most part in order, etc. It's not so much wanting Communism to return as much as it is wanting the stability in your life communism provided.

Hadn't looked at these kinds of articles for a long time, but ran into one mentioning the term so I clicked on it:

The Caucasian race (also Caucasoid[a] or Europid)[2] is an obsolete racial classification of human beings based on a now-disproven theory of biological race

What? I should add, the article in question was that of the Canadian pro-wrestler/sumo John Tenta, who was mentioned as only the third caucasian sumo in Japan. Racial Wikipedia articles move so quickly now that they cause the rest of it to seem outdated.

I am not arguing for or con any particular racial term or classification, but what does the claim that it is 'disproven' mean for anthropology and DNA? Wikipedia's articles for race and genetics and human genetic variation don't actually state this (the articles also suck). We can tell the difference between a caucasian, negroid, and mongoloid skull, is this not a distinction we should make? Similar observations can be made in DNA (with even more variations), and have been used in criminal cases to exclude certain suspects (ie I know of a case where the blood had DNA that was east asian in origin, but the main suspect was a white guy, he was then excluded).

I have noticed this more and more spilling into real life, however. I remember reading a description of a wanted suspect in France that it was left vague what race they were, you would assume it was a dark haired French man with brown eyes they were seeking, but it was actually an African immigrant.

Consider their definitions of black pride/white pride or similar articles. One will always be a sign of solidarity and the other is literal Hitler.

Kinda?

The thing with Russia especially is that older generations don't miss communism, they miss the Soviet Union, which after de-Stalinization moved away from a lot of strictly communist policies and became less repressive. They miss being a military and economic superpower when things used to be prosperous. The really old-timers don't typically seem to miss the Stalinist era either.

Of course the main guy in charge of that page is a BLM antifa Marxist-feminist with "This user is of dubious and undisclosed gender, and uses they/them pronouns." on their profile, who's also got a ton of eAwards on his talk page for editing a bunch of leftist articles. Wikipedia is a fucking joke.

Wikipedia could've really gone with some gatekeeping. I think even limiting their editors to puffed up Yale graduates would be better.

There's a recent interview with Larry Sanger where he discusses where Wikipedia went wrong:

You have to give Epoch Times an e-mail address to watch, but it's also transcribed for anyone to read.
He's been brought up before I think. I have a feeling if Sanger was still in charge he would accidentally pull the plug on Wikipedia's servers.

It's hard to tell how much Jimbo's to blame for the state Wikipedia's in, but from what I can tell Sanger at least partially holds him responsible. Either way at this point I think Wikipedia's too far gone to ever really be fixed in terms of its overwhelming and thoroughly anti-intellectual political bias and agenda-pushing. Too many admins who are too heavily entrenched and an executive who at best doesn't care and at worst encourages it. There've been a few decent alternatives that've come up but Wikipedia's a de facto monopoly on internet info, same as Google. Nothing could truly replace it, and nothing short of a complete administrative purge and management reorganization could fix its problems.

Larry Sanger's Wikipedia competitor Citizendium fucked up in its own ways. They wanted credentialed editors, but the way their system worked treated all credentials as equal so you had a bunch of homeopathy and crystal healing shit being praised as effective right on the main page because "doctors" in that field were spending all day editing those articles. Trying to change those articles to something neutral was very difficult because Citizendium's policies presumed some guy with a degree in crystal healing was the expert in that field, not some actual med student.

On the downside, you'd get a site full of Essjays and other frauds, but at the very least you'd limit the amount of Essjaydubs although you'd probably still have plenty of unemployed gender studies majors editing the site.
