But plenty of VA's and relatively minor actors used to have that on their main page, this just feels like making an article for making an article's sake.
This is actually just a wiki convention that makes sense if you look at it. It's mostly a matter of whether you have some giant filmography that takes up more room than the actual text. They actually usually break out sections like that into separate articles if they're long enough.

This seems to occur in incredible blockbuster type personalities who pervaded all of media, or prolific nobodies who generated stuff nobody cares about in such quantity that the list of it dwarfs the actual encyclopedic text the person deserves.

I'm not saying anything disparaging about Grey DeLisle, though. VAs are often ridiculously prolific especially when they're the "get me this VA" type. Even if they're also very notable, like DeLisle, this kind of stuff clutters up the main article.
