Dumb Shit on Wikipedia

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
Here's another one. You know, 19/20 of these articles are covered in other articles (and more complete as sub-sections), but I guess that's just not as fun as creating an article about whatever random shit pops in your head.

I suspect some of these are bogus attempts to create credible article creating profiles while the spam generator sells services to people who want Wikipedia articles on themselves. They can sell that they've created X number of articles and show the list, and charge the guy, and then maybe the article stays up.

Also, it's worth noting for anyone who isn't following the significance, it's freakishly unusual for a Wikipedia editor to have such a huge number of articles created, yet have a large portion of them deleted. It shows a complete dedication of life to Wikipedia, without actually learning how it works. To put it in a nutshell, the ultimate form of autism, on par with kids who attend Minecon.

Well, I stumbled across this today: OS-tan.

The OS-tan is an Internet phenomenon or meme that originated within the Japanese Futaba Channel. The OS-tan are the moe anthropomorphism/personification of several operating systems by various amateur Japanese artists. The OS-tan are typically depicted as women, with the OS-tan representative of Microsoft Windows operating systems usually depicted as sisters of varying ages.

This is the sort of shit that should be sent off to some anime fan wiki (or gas chamber) just to clean up Wikipedia itself. That's how Wookieepedia got formed, right? Bonus points for the links to the 'Internet phenomenon' and 'moe anthropomorphism' articles, which both seem to be articles created as an excuse for people to sperg out over dead memes and stupid animu girls respectively.

Do you even Wikipe-tan?

Also the CNN guy who got eviscerated at the Trump press conference yesterday had his Wikipedia page vandalised

It's even gotten weirder. See all those "+95" edits that are all within the same minute? Yeah, those are articles this autist is nominating for deletion off the cuff, ie. they're hitting the "Random article" button and nominating whatever pops up. Talk about Wiki-sperging.

Well if anyone's in the mood for a blatant example of Wikipedia bias, their Pizzagate entry is perfect. The article itself and the talk page are both locked down, and the article even violates NPOV policy by claiming the allegations are "not true" rather than just reporting that no charges have been filed.

In the edit history on the talk page you can also see plenty of examples of blatant bias, with WP editors insulting people who "believe" the "conspiracy theory" and proving a blatant POV, a la GamerGate, and nothing's being done about this. One admin even basically admitted they were biased and that this was justified due to the allegations having allegedly sparked a shooting at the restaurant.

Wouldn't suprise me if some government or corporate media plants are involved here; allegedly there was a Wikipedia admin with a pro-Israel agenda whos account was found to have been under control of the British MI5.
you seem upset.

Wikipedos formed a consensus that the Daily Mail is "generally unreliable" and shouldn't be used as a source. Looking at the Reliable sources notceboard shows a clusterfuck as people try to figure out what to do with articles and what else should be banned.

Some of you might know Brandon "Jorm" Harris, a former WMF employee and current douchebag. I saw this on ED, the numbnuts got "Courage" and "Kindness" tattooed on his forearms, he made sure to blur out the "Kindness" tattoo as he virtue signals.
