As I understand it, it's against Wikipedia rules to demand an editor's credentials. They treat that as a doxing attempt. If this is true (and Scots Wikipedia has long been a joke), then this should news in both the US and UK since presumably some autist from North Carolina has decided to use a foreign-language Wikipedia devoted to an endangered language as a place to make Scottish jokes and contribute to said language being nothing but a joke.

Going off mostly what others have told me:

My strengths:

My intelligence, I can retain a lot of information, and I can understand many complex theories and systems.
My open-mindedness, I always consider others' opinions, and arguments involving myself are more about getting a better understanding of the issue rather than trying to persuade the other party. Can also be a weakness however (see below)
My honesty, I hold the truth as being very important to me.
My weaknesses:

My laziness. I'm so lazy it's not even funny. I give up easily.
I second-guess myself a lot, and I'm never ever confident in what I think, feel, or believe. This means people can get to me when they insult my interests, beliefs, opinions, and thoughts.
Bad social skills. I'm super awkward, and I don't know how to sustain a conversation well.

I always thought something was odd about Scots Wikipedia. I had thought for a while that Scots was just "English with an accent", until I went up there to visit family and heard it spoken by relatives who are fluent. I couldn't understand a fucking word. I figured the Wikipedia was mostly edited by people who want to make fun of the Scottish for some reason.

Why does this autist even care so much about Scots, anyway? It has less than 100,000 native speakers, 99.9% of whom live on a different continent. I can see a native Scots speaker starting up a project like this, because representation for the language online is practically nothing and it's at risk of dying out without being properly preserved, but some kid in North Carolina? What does he get out of this?
