Do we have any members who are into vaping? I just got into it to help me keep alert when I work nights and to help suppress my appetite to help me drop some pounds. I've never smoked before and wasn't interested in smoking tobacco. My friend introduced me to it.

I bought an Innokin iTaste 134 vaporizer which looks like a Dillon M134 gatling gun. It is normally $170 but I got it for $140. It's a big beefy item made of hefty aluminum. I've gotten a lot of compliments on it and have heard people say it looks like a light saber or something off of a Terminator.

What vaporizers are you guys using? What are some of your favorite flavors for the e-juice? I've got one tank filled with wild watermelon and another in a flavor called Pineapple Express and I'm going with 18ml nicotine content. Both are absolutely delicious and very smooth, even for a newb like me. I'll post pics of it later.

I smokes a pack a day for about 5 years, I got the cheap end e-cig starter pack for 20 bucks. I love it, I've been using it for about 3 months. Smokers cough is gone and my breath is fresher. I save 50 a week (cig prices are about to hit 10 a pack in CT)
I'm kinda boring so I stick to Menthol flavor. My buddy has an Ecto Cooler flavor that's pretty awesome though.

If you're looking for a good upgrade check out the iTaste MVP. It's a 2500mAmp box mod with variable voltage so you can dial in things to your personal preference. It is nice because you can get a nice smooth vape and lasts a lot longer than the cheap-o Ego style vapes. Another cool feature is that you can use it to charge your phone or ipod on the go. Its about $65 and they're built like a tank. I almost got one myself, but I just had to go with the big manly 134. Getting a nice variable power mods really makes vaping much more pleasurable and dialing it in helps enhance the flavor of the different flavors. The Tesla is a really nice mod too.

I always wanted to try out e-sigs out. I quit smoking about 2 years ago but hey no one likes a quitter.

How are they on the harshness scale?

I'm new to it so it's been a little harsh for me, but if you get a good variable power unit you can dial it in for smoothness to your own personal taste. If you want a bigger throat hit you can turn up the power. There are also different nicotine contents if you want something stronger. Or if you don't want any nicotine you can get juice with no nicotine and it's just the flavored vapor.

i use them when i go to places like the movies or a football game. saves on moving. but i stick with regular cigs on the normal. i dunno i don't think i'm ready yet to make the switch

E-cigs kind of creep me out because they came out so quick and you really don't know what you're really inhaling. I realize the irony in that statement. At least with cigarettes you know all the horrible shit you're taking in. :asperchu:

I don't smoke so I don't know much about them. Everything I know comes from my dad because he runs a vaporizer store. My dad likes a flavor called Boba's bounty, If you see it give it a try.

Well the media/marketing teams of E-Cigs like to say they're healthy or whatever. They're still nicotine filled stuff that you inhale. Ill admit I've not googled the health side of them, but they cant be that healthy.

Theyve got a lot of press recently as the smoking industry is massive. And tobacco is illegal to advertise, E-Cigs aren't. My friend's father works in the tobacco industry and they said they were all creaming their pants when they heard of it a few years ago. It's basically something they can spend a lot of money on to make it attractive to the average Joe without the law getting in the way.

I've tried E-Cigs, though never the really expensive ones. There's the disposable ones that often look like this that a lot of the students in music last year had:
v2-blister-e-cig.jpg
I only thought they were cool because the end of them glows when you inhale .

There are a couple others I've tried too that were refillable.

From my experience the smoke isn't harsh... it's just odd. like the smoke isn't as hot as expected, and its thicker than expected. I've tried simple nicotine ones, and my god they were strong. Like really strong. I'm not a huge fan of smoking tobacco anyway, whenever I smoke I can't get through a full rollie, so it may just be me being a wimp.

The menthol ones are okay, but unlike menthol filters and tobacco, it seemed to leave the minty taste in my mouth for like 30 mins with a weird layer of mint across my mouth.

I prefer tobacco in all honesty. But I still want an E-Cig for a specific reason. They sell cannabis flavoured e-fluids or whatever its called, and if it legitimately tastes like cannabis then it could easily make me smoke less, or help me in droughts

Ever vaped? What's your favorite flavours? why or why you do you not vape?

Got the non nicotine-free stuff a month go. I never smoked a cig once in my life but I do have an oral fixation. The ritual calms me down. I like also sweets. The e-cig meets that.
I have Piña Colada and butterscotch. I misplaced mine so I picked up a new one today. "Buck naked" brand. Havnt had any addiction problems. My last Buck Naked skinny went missing for over two weeks. Didn't really miss it.

It's disgusting there is more toxic ingredients in everyday foods than their is in the E-liquid. I'm talking staples like breads and pasta. Inhaling that or absorbing food additives that are apparently human hair and chicken feathers.

Switch my ritual from sweets/chips/crackers to an E-cig.

Butterscotch and pins colada flavour. Mmmmmm.

maybe it's just my area but all the smoke shops here sell gaudy disposable e-cigs with like "extreme mint" or "fruit blast" flavors

do they make ones that taste like cigarettes? like i just want a e-cig that tastes like a red that i can smoke on the bus.

They do, but your right by in large alot of vapor shops tend to stock fruity flavors more then just cigarette flavored.

Cigarette flavors are the only type I can find for my e-cig, I don't tend to use it that much though and tend to stick to normal cigarettes, but I do see an advantage.

Nicotene proper isn't the reason smoking is unhealthy. It might play a factor, but at the end of the day, combusting something and inhaling the smoke is the biggest problem.

A bigger reason nicotene is a problem is because it's addictive and it drives you to smoke more.

Pfft, in the US at least, everyday food is fine.

there is so much shit we have in food that is illegal almost everywhere else

red food dye for example, which is made from petrol and is potentially neurotoxic, is banned in several countries. or brominated vegetable oil (common in sports drinks), which as you might've guessed contains bromine, which in turn is both corrosive and linked to organ system damage. 100+ countries ban it.

basically your food might kill you before cigarettes do and definitely before e-cigs do.

I find a lot of foreign food standards excessive.

I switched to vaping over a year a go from a pack a day habit. I'm currently using an Eleaf iStick and loving it.

My only problem with vaping is that there is so much fancy gear coming out on a monthly basis, and I like gadgets.

I just got a nice thick Buck Naked "Express". It's bigger. Holds more charge and fluid. The smoke hit the back of your throat faster than the "skinny" models. It's more well heated .
