Dude was that just uploaded to Youtube? It wasn't shown during the conference. It's way better, though. I think they wanted to keep people guessing until you saw the cop/zombie and Leon. This trailer shows it too quickly

I'm excited for DOOM Eternal, and i'm being fairly cautious of DMC5 ... even though it looks absolutely gorgeous.

I believe so? I think one of the developers pretty much confirmed that Ellie was gay after Left Behind ( TLoU's DLC ) was released.

No, it is known that Ellie is a lesbian since the Last of Us's DLC expansion (can't recall it's name off the top of my head, but there was only one). Personally, while I don't think I'm "losing my shit," it's just that... okay... here's my mindset.

I don't care about a character's sexual orientation. I am completely apathetic. But like I was mentioning during the stream, it feels like there needs to be an equivalent to a Bechtel test that whenever a gay or lesbian character shows up in a movie, TV show, or game, it feels like everything stops just for the character to show that they are gay/lesbian. It feels like out and out pandering. It feels as out of place as when they used to first introduce female characters tits and ass first. The whole opening scene feels like Naughty Dog is willing to devalue Ellie as a character just so they can win some progressive points by lingering on a same-sex kiss as long as possible.

But what's worse than the pandering, is knowing exactly what happens next. People lose their shit, we get the media dicknozzles will run around saying how amazing it is and parading themselves as progressive forward-thinkers, meanwhile, the neckbeard shitcocks will moan about it on their fucking trash Youtube channels while they sit in front of walls of Funko toys to show how much of a hardcore nerd they are. Nothing will be gained by the pointless bitching and moaning, sans my constantly growing apathy.

That's just my thought on the matter, of course.

What I'm really excited for is the fact that it hints that Ellie's love interest may very well be a gone goose over the course of the game. As the developers have said in prior interviews, the game will be "about hate" in contrast to how the previous game was about love and familial connections. Prior trailers made it look like the game is building up to some kind of revenge scenario and if you put the pieces together, that spells one dead love interest for me. I can't see that boding well for Naughty Dog's need to look progressive as it would fit in with the trope of killing off gay characters.

I'm really excited for new Doom, too. Full reveal will be at Quakecon this August which I may be attending so hopefully there will be a demo available. I'll let you guys know how it goes.

RE2 preorder is live now.
It's pretty gay they will be using another soundtrack but at least they offer the original OST. Elza Walker costume from the scratched RE1.5 game, too!!

If Nintendo shows Prime 4 and actually make the game please god i hope they don't repeat any mistake from the last 2 metroids
 
I know this sounds stupid but If Nintendo are gonna reveal smash this E3 I'd like to say it's actually gonna be a spin-off title. It'd be like party bros. or dance bros. this year, just to fuck with people's expectations. It'd be hilarious in my opinion.

I'm not sure why people are so excited for this true wuv lesbian kiss since it's fairly clear the other girl was only kissing her to make that Asian dude who was her ex boyfriend jealous. It felt like a really petty action on the girl's part and rather awful to do to both Ellie and the ex.

Just meh. I'm lukewarm on this next instalment. It felt like Ellie's story was told and done. I'm not entirely sure why it needed to go on.
