They also complained about the translation. The complaints weren't about any serious translation errors, mind you, but petty things like how Futaba talked. An example being the, "Me near... okay?" line when you go down the romance route (IIRC) and she wants to sit next to Joker, which isn't even close to being badly translated; it was just the way an extremely socially awkward person like her would talk.

By the way, these are the exact same people that defend Fire Emblem: Fates' translation.

The correct response any time people complain. Even Bioware should have told people to fuck off about ME3's ending. Yeah, the ending sucked I whole heartedly agree but that's the ending they did. Don't be spineless and backtrack, stick with your original shitty end and don't kowtow. Because that was the final straw that broke Bioware's back. They started listening to their 'fans' and that's how we got DA:I and that dumpster fire Andromeda. And now Anthem.

I will be surprised if Anthem actually releases. EA has shown they don't give a fuck about cancelling projects that are in progress if they think it won't make any money. They did the same to LucasArts who were in development of two games.

This has become a trend in gaming to whore profits,Bethesda also kind of did so in Fallout 4,after 3 games worth of sperging children bawwing "I wanna bee a raydurr!" that's literally the only reason they made the "Nuka World" expansion,but it's also actually a giant "Fuck You" as when you boil it down it just involves "invading" the same settlements you already built for the minutemen/B.O.S. etc.... for which you are "rewarded" with having to build them over a second time,lmao.

There's something to be said for not only trolling thousands or millions,but getting them to PAY you for the privilege.

I'm pretty sure at this point they will release Anthem because they've already put a sizeable amount of money into the pre-order campaigns.

That isn't to say that I'm expecting great things from Anthem, mind. I'm getting serious flashbacks to how they announced Andromeda, showing basically next to nothing except concept art and a few very heavily scripted gameplay videos during the conference. It looks very pretty, but at the same time very empty as well.

My assumption is this: At best- they'll keep this on the oven a bit longer, maybe instead release it in the fall of 2019. But EA being EA, they'll probably release it in February amongst an already stupidly congested February (that day alone being the same day Crackdown 3, Days Gone, and Metro Exodus are scheduled to drop), it'll tank, and EA will shutter Bioware with the same grace and aplomb they shuttered Visceral, Pandemic, Maxis, and a half dozen other studios before it.
