I'm unironically looking forward to that steam fest thing. the one back in february was pretty good - you could browse the featured games at your leisure, actually play their demos and if you're interested enough see what the devs themselves have to say about it. certainly beats watching some shitty streams that just dump trailer after trailer on you, I can do the same shit with a youtube playlist, I don't need e3 or whatever they wanna call it for that.
even found 2 games I'm now looking forward to and keeping my eye on 2-3 others, which I probably would've overlooked otherwise. the only point where they went full retard was removing some demos afterwards, what's the fucking point? I get you don't want it reflect the current state of the game for too long, but they can fuck off with "play it this week or never". joke's on them, didn't even wishlist those. fucking idiots.
there's still a good chance that it becomes pozzed at some point due to it's single point of failure and leading to one-sided representation of games, but for now at least it was decidedly non-woke with some nip games and stuff like graven (unless you really get triggered by female protagonists).
One thing I hate about this modern climate is nobody's saying you can't have your little faggy indie games and faggy soyed out version of gaming culture, it's just that the faggots have crowded out the more traditional gaming scene.
Why is it an either/or thing? Show me the law that says you can't make a game like Duke Nukem 3D in today's climate but the Woke demand every single thing cater to theirs and only theirs taste and raise a shitfit if anything tries to go against the grain, the bad PR of which keeps the bigger publishers and developers away.
It's unfair on every level, there's no logical reason to justify why every single game that comes out has to cater to only one kind of taste.
It's also stupid because Woke outrage is nothing more than a paper tiger, the world didn't when 2B and her robot ass showed up on the scene, so why is everyone so afraid of these faggots?
no one is really afraid, it's more like the people in charge either fully onboard with it when the rot has gotten high enough, or are fed bs data to justify doing it. why do you think all those woketards and diversity hires sit in HR, community management/marketing or some idiotic "diversity" position? because they can't cut it otherwise. same reason they get fast tracked to management positions, companies can't get rid of them once hired, and after turning a team's productivity to shit they get promoted because even they can use excel and sit in meetings.
it's the same MO when they take over open source projects or become reddit/4chan/discord jannies - did they contribute to the project before? did they engage with the community they are now moderating?
after that you either tow the "company" line or can look for a new job, and your game will never be talked about or featured.
