btw, for anyone that wants a hassle-free way of watching the streams on Twitch (rather than going to YouTube and having it eat up your memory), there's an alternate player browser add-on that will just show the video/stream and nothing else, making it a simpler experience.
you can also use opera and go to their site too.
this just in: "i'm a proud owner of a xbox", the things a nigga do for money...

What happened to her arm? Like I said, I don't care about Halo lore. I mean... I couldn't pay attention. I remember her in Reach.
I haven't played much Halo for nearly a decade now, but I'll take a shot at the explanation:

It happened during the last of the Spartan Ops segment in Halo 4, where Halsey gets shot in the arm by Palmer and for some reason the only thing they could do with it was amputate. Not sure if it was explicitly seen in the closing cinematic, but I'm fairly certain it was.

Not your fault you didn't remember. The idea of Spartan Ops was good as were the cinematics, but the actual product was not - reusing maps and adding arbitrary objectives like you were only showcasing Forge capabilities was not a good substitute for unique assets.
*shrug*

When did the Didact die between Halo 4 and Halo 5? It feels like 343i can't figure out how to stick with a villain.

This is a recurring problem with Halo as far as I can remember - they try to link the games with external media such as comic books and novels to give those other pieces of media more value to fans, but in doing so the game stories are greatly diminished and fucks with continuity. You should never have to read a book in-between two numbered entries of a franchise for major plot points. Ever.

Didact died in some comic or whatever during Halos 4 and 5. The same thing happened to Rookie from Halo ODST.

I liked Halo 4's campaign and felt it was pretty well self-contained, but the level of disconnect between that and 5 was terrible in just having Cortana spontaneously be back because reasons.
Not really. They do stuff that pisses me off, but if i want a good, engaging, single-player game, Playstation is the only console of choice.

Plus, VR next year

I actually don't like the majority of Sony's single-player franchises that haven't gone multi-platform already, a lot of them are just plain retarded in my book.

Microsoft and Sony are one as bad as the other from my perspective. The only thing that Sony has going for it is my thinly-veiled hope that Japan can keep them more consistently on track for a longer duration, but last-gen really hurt my impression of that.

They're being run by the Main Japanese branch of Sony, Jim Ryan is in his position as playstation CEO because he won't go against the Japanese branch's plans to have multimedia spanning IPs. They restructured awhile back so Japan can effectively pull all the parts of sony as one big cudgel.

At least their getting it out of the way instead of waiting till the very end like they did in 2019

Microsoft used to be better than Sony, now they're the worst console company ever to have existed in the space. A real shame.

Sony makes single-player games that the fans like. They know what works, and have done it for 5 generations. Microsoft have no idea what works anymore, so just pander to whichever flavour of the month it is. Right now, it's ftp, streaming, subs and mobile games. None of that is good for the industry.

At least Sony tries to innovate with new pad ideas, new architecture and taking a huge fucking risk with VR. I've always prefered MS over PS but i have to hand it to the japs; when facing bankruptcy and rumours of the PS4 being the last Playstation console, they threw a huge chunk of money and took a big risk with VR. Because they knew the traditional gamers want it.
