In what world did Nintendo win? Showing me overpriced ports of games I played years ago and a Metroid that looks like a cheap knock off doesn't count as win in my book. The only game I have any interest in is SMT and even then nothing they showed blew me away. I wasn't garbage, but it certainly didn't win anything.

Xbox had a good showing but 90% of the conference was gamespass or "in game engine" bullshit that I don't care about. I'm hopeful for Halo, but I'm expecting it to be shit. They showed fuck all of Starfield and it'll probably be Skyrim in space which is fine I guess, but I feel like I've played every Bethesda game at this point.

Square Enix was an embarrassment. The only notable thing apart from CHOAS was how bad Babylon's fall looks.

Capcom wasn't too bad. They didn't really bring anything to the table, but I like the look of Ace Attorney Chronicles and more Monster Hunter is good even if it is Pokémon now.

I didn't even bother with the PC show

This entire E3 was pretty lacklustre frankly.
They won because they just shut up, and showed good games.

It certainly wasn't a high bar to cross, but they did so nonetheless.

$89.99 before shipping and taxes. Here's your Metroid game. Oh wait, it sold out on Best Buy already... :tugboat:

it sucks scalper bots already bought up the preorder stock for this game, shit looks great. $89 for the special edition is a bit much for what it comes with. Special editions of other games with the stuff this comes with tend to run like 60-70 dollars depending on what game it is. They usually come with soundtrack cds and some other things too, but thats not a guarantee and is more dependant on whether or not the company feels like getting greedy. The fact the artbook is a paperback instead of a hardback stings like hell.

Was Life is Strange that popular?
Not really, no. It's a knockoff of Telltale's formula and seems to have more people that like to make fun of it than actually enjoy it. It probably helps that a lot of the franchise has been given away for free at times, or sold for very very cheap, to entice streamers to riff on it.

But it was always advertised heavily so I guess it got as popular as it ever could

I really don't think you can say Nintendo "won" with yet more ports, remasters and a paltry offering of new games that look 10+ years old. A sequel to Breath of The Wild should not be taking in excess of 5 years to make on this hardware. It just shouldn't.

I didn't waste my own time watching the entire E3 filler stream shit (including the PC Gaming and Future shows) so I didn't see the alleged political preening.
