As someone coming into the thread for the first time I am just curious: why the heavy use of watermarks?

This community is full of grifters who will absolutely use all the content gathered by archivists who ask for no payment and turn it in to their cash cow; without crediting the farms or the people who find the information. So they can deal with watermarks that force citation.

Do video editors send their clients their completed videos normally through putty? Wouldn't Dropbox, Google drive or one drive be better?

Depends on the platform and individual user. Most platforms have built in hosting for projects. There's no industry standard for peer2business or peer2peer sales. It just depends on what they the creator-customer agree on.

I think with how much the farms have been demonized over the recent years it makes sense. Average people don't realize the sperging nature here comes with good and bad sides, they just see the bad.
