My earliest memory is of playing with some number/letter blocks while the WRC was playing on the TV in the background, I think my dad and uncle were both watching it.

Going to a birthday party for a neighbor kid on Guam in the very early 80s. The party favor bag had a cheap knock-off GI Joe paratrooper in it. I played with it a lot that day and never saw it again
I asked my mom about this because I was at the house picking up the kids and she told me she clearly remembers the day. The paratrooper toy got lost on the way home in our Toyota wagon because I stuck it out the window, and the sudden force of wind on to the chute yanked it out of my hand. I then cried, but my dad decided to stop at the PX on the way home and thats where I picked out my first GI Joe toy. Then she showed me a photo album with a Polaroid of me at a very young age smiling with that toy that exact day, my eyes still red from crying about losing the first one. She said it was just two days later she found out she was pregnant with my little brother and in the photo she showed me of that announcement, you could see the same GI Joe peaking out of my pocket.

So thanks for the thread OP, it was nice watching my mom have a nice little walk down memory lane.

Have a weird fear of the moon was pretty much my first memory. I would complain about the moon if it was in the sky. That was in 2003/2004. Also that time I left a piece of bandage at the lake and cried about it.

I have some less clear snippets from earlier but my clearest first memory is 2000 new years eve. I remember not understanding why my parents were freaked out and super excited about it being 2000 and watching the ball drop on a little CRT TV

Being like 5, having no idea what a road was, and thinking we were racing somewhere.

I remember counting on my fingers how many siblings there were now and then how many siblings there'd be after the youngest was born.

Also I remember opening a Christmas gift early when I was 3 year old because I didn't know any better, then being confused and sad when my Mom got upset.

I have a shit memory, but it was probably me getting grounded on one of my first few birthdays because I didn’t do homework.
