Aren’t they really holding out because they want to keep up the Obamacare gibs to the insurance and healthcare industries?

Healthcare basically runs the American economy at this point. I’m sure the pressure from the gigantic food companies and leftists combined isn’t even close to the pressure dems are getting from Big Health.
 
I can't wait until Nov 1st when this thread actually becomes interesting instead of just people debating nutrition and arguing about what exact level of gibs the government should give.
 
I got into meal prep shorts a few years ago. Not only are the recipes cheap and easy, they are also much healthier than anything you can buy with money. You can go to a health food store, and not be able to buy a meal with the same macros without spending extra money getting extra servings of protein. Most of the recipes follow the same concepts, airfrying chicken, greek yogurt, flour and baking powder, lean ground beef + whatever carb, so most ingredients are interchangable. I calculated most of my meals cost a couple dollars at most. Once you cook enough, its easy to make up recipes for whatever you want to eat.

That's the way that Dems are trying to spin it. In reality, they want Obamacare (and all other government subsidy programs) to continue to fund illegals and cover gender reassignment treatments for people too poor to chop off their own nuts. Iirc Trump has a proposed replacement plan for Obamacare, but we're not going to get anywhere near hearing what it is until after the government is funded and reopened.

The Dems are pretending they are in a pre-Elon takeover world but they are in a post Elon takeover of X world. They are fucked.

A black chimpout over EBT is only going to fuel GOP support. It proves the point. Fatigue is real and it is likely to end in bodies at this point and a lot of the bodies are going to be cracked out youths.

Don't know enough about Obamacare to be able to answer your question but wouldn't be surprised to know Big Health was also pressuring the Dems. Heck, perhaps the better question now is who isn't pressuring the Dems. This is why I believe the Dems will cave next week, a united front against them is quickly developing.

Wouldn't say healthcare basically runs the economy, more like tech. Tech is insinuated into every facet of the economy, especially healthcare, from personal experience as a patient.

Or shop at Costco, or on a military base.

Remember, the only store mentioned by name for action is Walmart, nobody else. However, many, if not most Walmarts are not located in areas with high concentrations of certain demographics, ours isn't.
