Poor people around here are fucking stupid.

I legitimately feel like some people on EBT are too fucking stupid to be poor.

Poor people stock up. Poor people know how to make things from scratch. Poor people know how to stretch their budget to make everything work. Poor people wash out and reuse bags. Poor people save lard. Poor people make their own preserves. Poor people know how to hunt. Poor people mend their own clothes instead of buying new etc. etc. etc. It wasn't pretty, it's not right, but poor people used to be really crafty.

Being poor used to take a working brain to survive. Amazing how we have downgraded in basic living intelligence from 100 years ago. The EBT Americans ancestors were more intelligent than they were.

Taking the gibs is a Faustian bargin.

what kind of oven did you grow up with that took overnight to preheat
It's going to take longer than overnight to preheat. It's a metaphor, don't worry about the ovens. The only ovens you should worry about are the ones that were ALLEGEDLY at the concentration camps, because when it's all said and done we should send George Soros and his ilk, including his nigger pets to them.
Let me get a nothingburger with no happening sauce
The food stamps shut off and TWO DAYS go by and black pilled white people are already going "Nothing happened!"
I already explained, there is a life cycle to this.
A. She was a whoo-er
B. Realization of no EBT
C. Bitching about no EBT
D. Anger and protesting over EBT
E. Small nig outbreaks over no EBT in blue cities
F. EEK EEK.
Jesus Christ, people. Stop acting like eek eek isn't going to happen. Have some faith, 80% of all niggers don't even realize their benefits aren't on the card yet. We aren't even fully at step B and you are calling step F a dud.

Do we have the names of the democrats that are holding up things?
I am a big believer in "Name and Shame" and would like to know exactly who is causing the government to not function properly.
I googled a little bit but it is a Monday morning and I am somewhat lazy.

Between home and school, children really aren't taught much in the way of life skills. Depending on where you live, hunting is not an option and other things such as baking are more expensive than buying prepackaged. With the exception of mending (and wearing out clothing) time sinks like washing out bags won't save anything substantial.

Speaker Mike Johnson spoke about the government shutdown today (it'll be the longest in history tomorrow). During his press conference, he spoke about SNAP benefits and the recent court rulings (that was just posted about:

A couple takeaways:
  • From his understanding, the contingency fund for SNAP benefits can flow as long as the normal funding is flowing .
    • Meaning, he says the funding can be used as emergency funding if current funding isn't enough (make of that what you will).
  • He then says it costs over $9 Billion to fund SNAP for a month. Currently, there is roughly $5 Billion for the current contingency fund; creating a shortfall
    • He says this puts the U.S. Government in a bind because now, it has to calculate partial payments and figure out who gets what.

If you want the full video it's on C-SPAN:

So if Trump has to release these emergency funds to SNAP, are the democrats just going to keep the government shut down so they can
•Demand USDA release more emergency funding in December
•Attempt it again January, but USDA runs out of money that can't be replaced because the government is shut down
•Blame Trump for everything despite this being a 99.9999999% Congress issue?
If the USDA has to release those funds, I guarantee that they'll S L O W roll those funds out. Those emergency funds are not covering November, and should the shut down go into December, not a single cent would be going out.

In that sense, what the fuck can these judges do? Order SNAP funds to materialize from the Aether? Last I checked, can't squeeze blood from a stone.

I wonder if this will inadvertently create precident that the president executive branch can step in and make decisions in lieu of direction or funding. It has been speculated that if congress passes law or program without funding that the president is allowed print money to implement it since it was delegated to him. That congress needs to actually provide full funding if they want say on how its funded.

Order SNAP funds to materialize from the Aether?
Yes. This is already a case of a judge trying to order the government, of a Judge trying to be the authority over things controlled by the combination of the executive and legislative branches. We're already well passed normal here, so why not have the judge order that the legislature has to pass an appropriations stopgap written by the judge. It wouldn't be any less farcical.

The GOP may not like it, but their responsibility is to renegotiate with the Dems.
problem is the dems refuse to agree to anything that is anything less that giving them everything they want. they have nothing to lose at this point until 2028 and in classic democrat fashion they will use the poors as weapons as long as possible while claiming its the right that made them do it. i do agree with you that it is the job of the GOP to renegotiate however its a rather hard task to negotiate with people who have no reason to appeal to any form of common decency or decorum because they know they can just use the media to spin everything into "wow those 4 years sure were awful and thats why we need a blue wave and even more immigrants and if you dont agree you are hitler"
Another thing that is completely pathetic about American farming that I've learned, is that the government keeps making them stay up to date with ridiculous standards and new farming equipment which is only designed to keep them in massive debt or on the government tit.
Basically they either grow what the government tells them to, or they are literally one bad harvest away from losing everything.
And the government is still using "Muh great depression dust bowl" reasoning for this over subsidization of American farming. I always thought American farming was just growing or raising whatever you want, harvest or slaughter it and then sell it, which is pure fantasy. It turns out being a farmer is massively regulated and restricted and most farmers barely scrape by being in debt middle class people.
That's a scary thought given that if our agriculture ever went down, we would be thrown into utter chaos.
the thing that pissed me off is when i read about how the newer models of john deere farming equipment are so filled with electronics that you cannot even fix them on your own you have to take them to a licensed repair place and are just fucked till then. oh and if you try to fix it yourself you can get fined because its somehow illegal.

so all these farmers who people claim are crazy rich more often than not are spending most of the money they make from crops on machines they might not even fully own. the only actually rich farmers are the ones who sell their businesses to large companies and thats usually only a thing for meat like chickens and cattle.

its not like the old days of farming where you can just grow some fruits and veggies and sell them and rake in the money the amount of regulations are psychotic to a degree that feels almost like they want less farmers so they can replace them with lab grown food or some other slop.
