EBT Payment Shutdown Thread

I'm really conflicted about this.

On one hand fuck niggers and fuck sheboons having a bajillion kids and taking advantage of EBT to stuff their fat faces. That shit absolutely happens and it fills me with all kinds of rage, and the idea of them getting cut off makes me smile.

On the other hand there's lots of decent working class folks or crippled/elderly without family or the means to get better services who need EBT to survive.

Not sure if I'm happy about this or not but I will say I think it was inevitable. Our entire healthcare and government assistance infrastructure is in dire need of a complete overhaul. Barely any of it works as intended.

Quick point to make, you could accumulate EBT over time. Say you get $100 a month, it wouldn’t expire if you don’t use it by that month. All the people bitching about Thanksgiving, I take it hasn’t occurred to them to budget their money FOR the holidays.

Yes, the longest prior govt shut down in history was a 35 day chimpout over the border wall in 2019 During Trump 1.0. But Congress made sure the EBT, SNAP, and WIC got paid even though everything else was unfunded:
the food-stamp program, could be funded through a $3 billion contingency fund appropriated by Congress in 2018; if the shutdown had continued through March 2019, those funds would have been exhausted

I will get so much shit from this, but the shit the republicans point out is broken, is in fact broken. The problem is that most of the solutions the republicans come up with are fucking insane. To bad the Dems are too busy sucking tranny/muslim and commie cock to come up with real answers that help the average person. Look it up, if you are a full time student or grad student or in medical school, or trades you cannot get on EBT because you need to be a full-time worker AND a full-time student. BUT if you don't have that, you just need to get some form of income no matter how small. Then you get your gibs.

Full offense, if they were actually decent and hardworking they wouldn't qualify for EBT. Most states have the limit so low that working any decent paying job will put you out of the range for benefits unless you have a small armies worth of kids. I get people down on their luck in-between jobs do rely on those benefits, but if you're a long time ebt recipient, you're a nigger.

The obvious compromise is to gut the programs to only allow basic somewhat healthy food.

Lets be perfectly honest here for a moment. From the perspective of the current post 1974 pyramid scheme the sheeboon shitting out heads is preferred, if for nothing else but increasing heads that can be used to dilute debt and pretend that by capita everything is fine, as those heads being productive one day contrary to being a net loss is a problem for the one holding the hot potato in the future.

In a system that has Christian idealism as its social glue, the heads shat out would be made productive one or another way while the majority might live materially at a lower standard than today, but even the crippled and elderly would be taken care of, in a "good" way. A shame the world opted for materialism and socialism post 1945. A shame that a "justice" system exists that sees every human as equally good to be a debt slave, exploiter will have free hand to try it again and again and again.
 
I'm putting my cheap chili recipe here...it makes a lot for not a lot of money. No fresh ingredients; fit for the zombie apocalypse. Or a camping trip. But good, nutritious food for the broke folks among us.

1 can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
1 can chick peas, drained and rinsed
1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
1 can kernel corn, with the liquid
1 (6 oz) can tomato paste, with 1 can water
1 can diced tomatoes with green chilies
2 Tablespoons chili powder
1 Tablespoon cumin
1 Tablespoon onion powder
1 Tablespoon garlic powder
salt and pepper to taste

Put tomato paste and water in pot over low heat and stir to mix.
Add tomatoes with chilies and stir to mix.
Add all beans and corn and stir to mix.
Add spices, and stir to mix.
Bring heat up to high, and bring mixture to a boil, stirring occasionally.
Then reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.

If desired, sprinkle shredded Cheddar or Mexican cheese on top.
Serve over rice (white or brown), or spinach or mashed potatoes, or anything you like.
These canned items can definitely be found for under $1, especially if you get the store brand. Spices obviously a bigger outlay at first but they're good for many more batches.
PS...obviously this is a vegan/vegetarian recipe, but browning a half pound or pound of ground beef (if one has the funds) and tossing that in the chili is a tasty option.
