I'll partially concede
I try not to be completely doomer about it, Are their any actual good studies/data about what is purchased with EBT? I remember hearing that politicians usually try and block it because it's not going to look good.

my main point still stands, a 15% drop in sales sucks but if a company can't handle that they had bigger problems.

cooking doesnt even take that much time...in the morning, you can put a roast with potatoes/carrots/turnips/whatever in the oven for hours at 300, come back at 5-6, and you have a complete dinner with vegetables, meat that is fork tender, perfect. you can even make gravy from the drippings. (not healthy but delicious)

The purpose of a system is what it does. Currently the purpose of welfare is literally free gibs to people who do not deserve them. Ergo it should be done away with. One bad apple spoils the bunch etc. Shame that people that actually need it won't have access to it, hope you maintained good relations with your family as you'll be relying on them for support now!
