the problem with this is that due to how fucked the job market is half the people who do want to work cant even get a job at fucking mcdonalds. there is also the issue of people who can work but are unable to due to issues beyond their control such as not having a vehicle to drive to work while living in a rural area. yea carpooling is a thing but its not likely you will get a job and make money to eventually buy a car if nobody is willing to drive out into the middle of nowhere to pick you up and take you to work.

this is why i believe there should be some form of government jobs you can do only while getting any form of government assistance. nothing major but maybe you can get a job where you can sit at home and do surveys or check government websites for flaws. or whatever. just very small pointless busy work type jobs that you dont even need a high school degree to do but can still be used as references in the future and will help you get actual better jobs.

Just found out my regional police are all going on alert and will have riot gear rolled out and prepped.

I'm reminded of that old saying: "Society falls apart in 3 days if people don't have food." If we really go an extended time without EBT recharging, I could absolutely see riots in more inner city areas.

This has been a festering problem for decades. A whole welfare class exists and things will pop off if they can't eat.

Not asking you to self phone book, but what region of the US are you in that has so few churches?

I think people have undervalued belonging to actual communities (such as a church) for an entire generation. The value of community is that you are already a part of it once things go sideways. So that even if your church doesn't run a food bank, if you're struggling and ask, someone will almost always help you. I understand that this doesn't help people who've isolated themselves until now, but I hope that society moves back towards developing those sorts of community bonds.

All that being said, if people are really getting thousands of dollars in EBT per month, it's a fucked program that should be scrapped and replaced with food boxes of specified ingredients for meals.

it depends really. at the end of the day not every democrat needs to cave only a select few. some have already caved or were on board from the start the ones who dont cave are going to risk never being elected again depending on which state they are from.

either way there is going to be increasing pressure on both sides from food manufacturer lobbies to do something because i really do not think these companies are going to be making much money if a situation did arise where every single person using SNAP were to start just stealing food.

so i guess the real answer is based on whatever matters most to who.

If you saw as many 400+ pound brown and black planetoids zooming around on their scooty puffs whining about their boo boos as I did today you wouldn't be defending food stamps and the eternal nigger/spic cycle.
 
Unfortunately the suffering endured by ending these programs is probably necessary to purge browns from all the western nations they parasitize. After that, a revaluation of labour can happen which may alleviate some of the economic inequality between working and asset owning classes. Welfare programs are a subsidy to big business, because they keep society from collapsing while employers never have to raise wages (the government is printing all the extra money). Mass immigration fills all labour roles that now have no rational reason to be filled by citizens, as they do not pay enough money to justify the effort. The promise of citizenship is another subsidy for employers, as immigrants are willing to endure a lower wage if it means they get citizenship eventually, or are allowed to stay in the country for other reasons.

To reverse any of this perverted system of internationalism, everyone will likely have to suffer to some degree.

Voting turnout at the election on November 4th will increase. Democrats have a hard time getting their lazyass base to vote in off-year elections. But being pissed off about EBT cutoffs will get more non-whites and poors to vote.
