(actually I am not that certain. Most people seem unaware that SNAP comes with a bunch of peripheral benefits like discounted utilities and free admission to the zoo.
Why would SNAP recipients go to the zoo to see a gorilla when they can just look in the mirror?

One thing I think needs to be done with EBT is making it stricter on what people can buy on it.

It really shouldn't cover things like soda and candy and should cover mostly nutritional foods.
I'm sick of subsidizing companies who make garbage food and pocket the profits. When something is full of fillers, it's not food, it just makes people sick and then we waste more taxes on healthcare. The whole thing is a racket, contributing nothing of value and milking us for all we've got. (Even this map is outdated, they're even more consolidated now.)

Especially processed foods. Those are popular and they have so many unhealthy ingredients.

Especially saturated fats and added sugars. There's high fructose corn syrup in so many things.

Down syndrome is associated with many co-morbidities like heart defects and early onset alzheimer's.
I want to see a downie forget they're a downie every day and finds out on their way to piss, but I'm more interested in what happens next Friday and if it continues, hopefully it'll continue during the next no kings protest.

CNN will have to explain to their viewers why the elderly, protesting against racism and fascism, are tightly clutching their purses while apes are chimping out.

But I foresee some righteous cuck billionaire group will try subsidize it if it continues for too long. 9b a month. Trump can't afford it, would be hysterical if he were to personally foot the bill.

I'm old enough to remember when foodstamps were actually a piece of paper. (Think of avoucher) for specific items.

When I was going to college and working two jobs to support myself a highlight of my week was being stuck behind some spic, chink, or nig-nog paying with foodstamps. The process took forever I loved seeing firsthand my tax dollars at work. Especially after brutally long days.

Then there was talk about having foodstamp only lines so those of us who actually contributed to society wouldn't have to wait endlessly to be able to pay actual money to checkout.

The news even did a story about it, unfortunately nothing happened because the welfare recipients didnt want to be embarrassed by having a special checkout. But have no issue taking handouts.

I feel sorry for the people who actually need help that will be affected but this, but unfortunately the welfare/ebt system has been abused by so many worthless people most of us just dont care anymore and want to see the programs ended completely.

Corruption kills humanity every time..
That's why they were called food stamps, they were actually stamps. Then we went to Electronic Bank Transfers. The program was always called SNAP, food stamps were the thing you paid with. Which is why people got confused when they became a digital card. It's a SNAP card, just like Food Stamps were Stamps from SNAP.

Yep. None of these sell healthy foods. But also note, healthy foods aren't being advertised either. Nobody on TV ever advertised steak, eggs, bacon, onions, peppers, and cheese as healthy. But not only is that omelette amazing. It tastes great. It's also far healthier than any of the 'healthy foods' listed here. The only thing of all these which is even remotely ok for you is Ramen. And that's just seasoned pasta. A bag of Rice is still far better if you're gonna have carbs, cheaper too.

I'm curious to see how this will affect the disabled people living in group homes (if something actually happens). Most if not all of them are on SNAP, even the ones that work (and most of the working ones don't earn much). I believe each group home has a food budget that SNAP partially pays for at times. I don't think most of them are totally fucked since they have other benefits plus their monthly individual allowances (depending on what other bennies they get, especially if one of their parents dies, some survivor benefit has given people thousands in a lump sum before) but it is going to be interesting to see how the tard helper companies react. So far nothing besides watching and waiting.

Worse. The apes built a functioning civilization and conducted scientific research.
The nigger-apocalypse would be more like your average zombie movie.
The question is:

Is it going to be a dawn of the type zombie movie where they're all super slow obese black queens or the 28 days later/L4D2 zombies that sprint at mach 5?

Realistically speaking, wouldn't they have to spend at least a third of their food stamps just buy a pack of cigs from recycling these cans?
Depends on how much they're allotted. If they only use so much for food then the rest is just going to "waste" otherwise.
the poors won't be able to eat for a little while!
They're all fucking fat they won't die from losing access to food. If they really wanted to fucking eat they'd do something like get a job or start a garden or take their fat ass to the fucking food drive to get a box of canned green beans.
Now, you know that's a lie. They abandon the kids and avoid paying because most of the time they're shitty fathers. :D
Except that the government will jail you and/or garnish wages for failure to pay. No clue how this affects leeches that have $0 annual income however.

Today I learned that neither Kellogg's, nor Post, make Cap'n Crunch.

Huh.

It's even more strange because I remembered seeing a Post logo on the bags and boxes of Cap'n Crunch. I guess I have Alzheimer's or something.

So, what we're about to see next week if when the EBT cards are completely cut off, will they loot a kroger for food, or will hey loot a nike store? maybe both?

While I watch these I will be thinking "Wall Street derailed working class politics with Occupy Wall Street BS". Obviously that will be relevant and not just a deflection from this just being what any of those labels effectively mean post-civil rights.

Ending the sarcasm-- this is what your economic justice is for. Take it in.

Carbs, carbs and more carbs. Mmmm, delicious. No thanks, if you want to eat food that's actually good for you it costs a lot more. Of course you can buy shit food for dirt cheap; this isn't new. I can make up easy to make shit food that costs barely anything, but I'm not going to because I don't want to get fucking diabetes and die.

Not to mention all the seed oils, msg and other shit in cheap food.
Most people do not understand nutrition at all, all they know is "calorie is fuel", some people get to the "I need protein" step, but the amount of people that understand that you need a mix of fat and protein and a few carbs, and that those fat and protein sources must come from healthy animals/plants that themselves consumed healthy food / grew in healthy soil, is probably below fucking 5% if I had to guess.

That's why you get idiots that think you can just eat fucking mass produced rice and beans. And then they do and they get even fucking dumber because their brains are literally not getting the literal physical fucking things it needs to repair itself.

Look at a grass fed cow that's supplemented with minerals and vitamins versus a fucking corn-slop fed feed-lot cow. We're not any fucking different. IT'S NOT THAT FUCKING COMPLICATED.

You need healthy meat, healthy veggies, and maybe 10%-5% carbs and no more. Even cultures that eat rice with everything know that the protein and fats need to be forward, not supplemental.

It’s too easy to work around it. Instead of food stamps, the government should provide basics from a menu of ingredients, like pasta, rice, bread, beans, vegetables, milk, etc.
