The main issue that not all crops are the same and we feed animals low quality grains that are either inedible or won't sell.

The purpose of UBI (or citizens dividend,as it's occasionally called) wouldn't just for it to be another free gibs but for it to replace all other government handouts and welfare programmes with an equal sum of money sent to every adult citizen on a monthly basis,thus abolishing welfare bureaucracy and disincentivizing people from having more children that they can support.

Giving a a truck driver,a banker and DeShaqwana the unemployable hood rat the same amount of money every month seems more reasonable than sending DeShaqwana a welfare check so she can look after dem keeds,giving the banker a bailout and the truck driver nothing.

personally i dont care about what people get with EBT as long as it is food. if you are getting money meant for food assistance it should go to food. not to cigarettes or alcohol or anything of the sort. if you want to buy a bucket of candy? fuck it go crazy. if you want to buy 3 pounds of string cheese and live on that for the month cool have fun. i think if someone is retarded enough to waste whatever they get on stupid shit they should be forced to live with the consequences of their actions.

i have been dirt poor and i have had to use what little money i had to find foods that would last enough to feed multiple people for a week or longer. sometimes i did well and had just enough food other times i fucked up and you just had to starve for a few days. but thats life sometimes things happen and you adapt and learn and improve.

but because of those experiences i learned things like how macaroni and cheese from scratch goes way further than a box of instant stuff and buying some items in bulk actually saves your ass way more than you think it will in the long run. but at the same time what works for me wont work for someone else. everyone has different diets and what not. i think your solution would be a great idea but unfortunately most people are far too stupid to be able to handle something that complex.

i think a universal maximum amount should be given to everyone no matter their situation and in the instance of lets say a single mother with 12 kids they get sent a bunch of MREs with enough meals to feed however many kids they list 3 meals a day just like they do in the military. if they are typical MRE meals they will have some form of candy in them as well as plenty of healthy foods and drinks. this would kill two birds with one stone by not only providing people with food but also preventing them from abusing the system by popping out kids to get more money. also just for fun make any selling of any of the items in the MRE a federal level crime.

oh and to combat lazy people not wanting to get jobs as well as people being unable to get jobs there should be a special apprenticeship program for those who get EBT in which if you complete the course and secure a job and remain at that job without issue for a whole year you get a tax credit or some form of reward that makes it beneficial to not just leech off the system forever.

also since every state has different situations they should all be forced to monitor and work towards lowering their unemployment rates or they have to start paying the government more from their own state funds to fund the EBT program. (or the funnier alternative the senator and house members for that state stop getting paid)

slightly off topic but you reminded me about how when the first popeyes in my area opened up i fully expected the surrounding area to become an absolute mess yet somehow both popeyes AND kfc are barely popular around here. instead the usual suspects choose to go to walmart and eat the rotisserie chickens while they shop and then put the bag with all the bones back in the little heater thing. it really is a sight to behold when a landwhale shaniqua is waddling down the aisles talking to her friend lafawnduh on speaker phone while sucking the meat off of a chicken bone.

How fucking dumb are you? The point is that the production of animal protein uses vastly more grain and beans than direct consumption by humans.

Therefore, encouraging people to eat more carbs as part of a conspiracy to benefit from grain farming makes no sense whatsoever.

The simplified wording of calorie input —> output was intended to make the point easier to see, but it seems to have actually made it harder for the terminally dim.

No,because (as I wrote) it would abolish all other government welfare programmes and handouts with an equal sum of money given to every adult citizen on a monthly basis.

It would save money by abolishing welfare bureaucracy,encourage prudence (since you're getting a fixed sum and can't stack programmes on top of each other) and help legitimize the system since everyone is getting the same amount of money.
