How many "TEH GUBMINT WIL END AND MURICA WIL FALE!!!!! super serious this time" stories do we see every year? Biden, Trump, Obama, Bush, they all did it. Then the crisis is averted, nobody dies, the country doesn't collapse and whatever dumb shit one of the geriatric, corporate-ball washing cunts wanted, gets granted, every one gets paid, they wank each other off in the senate and life continues.
 
A proposal: if you’re on EBT for reasons other than being a retiree or legitimately too disabled to work (like being legitimately retarded or a quadruple amputee), you lose your right to vote.
 
EBT people can always eat like every Dutch boomer does, ya boil some potatoes you boil some veggies slap some butter in a pan grill the meat 1 piece per person. You then use the fat in the pan to yeet on the potatoes that you mash together with your boiled veggies and you have the Dutch boomer meal. As for both breakfast and lunch get a loaf of bread and put cold cuts on slices take as many as you need. It tastes like shit but looking at my fellow countrymen it makes you fairly tall the downside is when your 40 you'll get a gut need glasses and look like an 80s pedophile.
 
What makes my eyes pop out of my head is just how much these people are getting. When I was briefly on the program forever ago, I had $250/month for just me, and I had so much left over every month I'd just share it with my roommate. And I'm hearing stories of people getting $4200/month. Are these niggers unironically having 12 kids a pop?

Mayhaps, just mayhaps, Sharqueefa Johnson shouldn't have taken loads of chocolate baby-batter when she could barely afford to feed herself. And also mayhaps, it isn't Billy Bob's duty to help pay for that kid he's never met. This country as a whole needs to become more tribal. You take care of you and yours, I take care of me and mine. Forcing people to support others when they're already struggling themselves only breeds resentment. Humans were never meant to give a shit about the plight of people across the world and never before have we been held to such absurd moral requirements - That's purely a modern idea. But of course, that ship has sailed. The globalism can of worms has already been opened.
 
I wonder if they will pussy out get done with the government shutdown before this happens. They have at least another week.
 
I could be late but I ain't readin this hole thread.

EBT is not entirely funded by the federal government. Most if not all states use their own funds towards the program. Archive.is won't load for me right now but from what I saw before the link to the states ending the program altogether is dubious at best.

Social security benefits? Those are stopping until the shutdown ends. Retired, disabled, and WAR VETS are losing their paltry $800/mo checks from the SSA and in the latter case healthcare as well. You think anybody can afford rent on $800/mo consider that they really need what they have left after rent subsidies. Some may or may not have EBT benefits at all.

Remember when you decry welfare because it goes to people you don't like, it's also going to people you do like: your grandma, retired family members, people in wheelchairs, and again military vets, plus many others like them.

That said post more hilarious meltdowns online, because the vast majority of people listed above are not going to post screaming crying videos of themselves for attention.

When I lived in Oregon they had a good scheme if they didn't want to bother to sell items purchased with EBT.
They'd buy cases of bottled water. The water has a $0.10 deposit per bottle. EBT paid for the deposit. Dump the water. Refund the bottles and get $0.10 each.
Looks like right now at WalMart a 40 pack is $5.47 plus $4.00 deposit. So for $9.47 you get $4 back. Not a great recovery but super easy and probably just have to find where water is on sale.

The last 10-15 years have been nothing but a constant barrage of bullets chipping away at my empathy to the point where I cannot even bring myself to care. Even if they are kids. I feel bad but I don't feel guilty if it makes any sense.

I mean, if LaQueefa doesn't give a shit about how 6 of her 7 keedz are already felons with warrants for their asses then why should I? Chances are that if the situation was reversed, they would not give a single shit about my kids not being able to eat.
