You are objectively wrong. I'm not even going to cite a source here because I don't feel like doing the 5 second google search to prove it. You do not need to work to get EBT. I know a lot of people who coasted for years not working and still received EBT.
Don't get me wrong I'm not saying anyone should look at any job like it's beneath them. My mom was a hotel maid who worked her way up to concierge. The point is that she wasn't satisfied being the fucking toilet scrubber for a bunch of rich foreign twats, so she changed with initiative.
"Teenager" jobs should be a gap just like welfare is. You don't KEEP a fucking walmart cashier gig, you work there as a cashier until you find something better. Show some fucking initiative, and stop settling for the shit job you have.
Anyone who's even remotely reliable, doesn't mess with drugs and doesn't mind putting in a little bit of effort can easily get a job that pays more than a livable wage.
If you're a middle aged person and you're wondering why you can't make ends meet, it's probably because instead of getting off the weed and fucking drinking every weekend so you could get a job at the Tyson plant, your dumb ass is still going out partying like you're 17. THAT'S why you're working and still getting food stamps, and that's why your job will always entail making sure the coffee pots are full and putting $40 dollars on pump 2.

Where I live is mostly white, and Costco is even whiter, but we're about 10% Hispanic, and have some Mexican families who routinely show up to buy a shitload of chickens all at once. There's one or two every time I go in, buying 6-12 or more. It's possible they're the same people who own the local taco trucks or taquerias, and that's where all of that chicken is headed, but at $5/bird that's one of the cheapest sources of meat going, so it may be feeding large households over a span of several days.
I could ask, but it's none of my business; no harm, no foul (but not no fowl, because there's plenty of chicken for everybody).
God damn. This woman can't be out of her mid-20s, but she looks like she's on the verge of death. Obese, pallid skin, dark rings around her eyes, thinning hair, chin hairs—a woman used to have to wait until she had at least 50 years of hard living behind her to get that trailer park Meemaw look, but she's punched in early.
Some forced calorie reduction will actually help her.

All of the food banks in my area are staffed heavily with volunteers, who are not getting paid enough to deal with entitled, demanding people of any color, much less pretend to care. The crazy thing is that food bank volunteers here are all the exact kind of "In this house..." sign-posting, BLM-supporting, No Kings-marching old white liberals who would never dare bring up the ways in which black clients are, as a group, the rudest, most hostile, and most ill-behaved by far, because that would be racist.
I've thought about volunteering at my local food bank, but been put off because I'd rather not deal with Boomer libs like that. But I might actually do it because one, they're going to need a lot of extra help; and two, I have a feeling it will be a goldmine of retardation on both the staff and client sides, and thus fucking hilarious.

More often than not, it's because most people are absolute shit at managing basic personal finances, and a lot of them are so child-brained they routinely prioritize wants over needs.
I'm one of those debt-free, live-below-your-means people, because having plenty of fuck you money makes me happy. I listen to Caleb Hammer's show on YouTube, and trust me—the guests on his show with whopping amounts of debt and out-of-control spending habits on shit like DoorDash, Disneyshit and Labubus? They are not crazy outliers.
I have tried helping people sort out their finances in the past, who were struggling along paycheck-to-paycheck, and every goddamned one of them had at least one fatally stupid feelgood thing they were routinely blowing money on. And every fucking one of them defended whatever it was and told me I was being unreasonable for suggesting they do otherwise. So yeah, Caleb Hammer can try sorting them out, because I just can't with these people, and won't.

The food banks here in KC are mainly staffed with people who just get out of prison and are doing it as part of their parole. I would love to go down and get a food box that I don't even need just to see some nigger bitch get put to sleep by some gang banger or aryan guy because if there's one thing I know about convicts is that they don't take well to disrespect.

I have a friend in Appalachia who is legitimately trying to earn money via online business while her husband works at a job an hour away from their home. All with a baby. So if I was able to, I wouldn't actually mind if I were to pay for some stamps for her, despite her insistence that she dosen't wish for handouts (you're actively trying to do better for your family, its fine)

Just so people know, since the 1st is a Saturday, everyone should be getting their EBT cards filled tomorrow. All government disbursements occur either on the 1st or the closest day to the 1st if the 1st falls on a holiday.

If there's any consolation there's a nonzero chance that the No Nom November riots are so extreme it encourages the reassessment of the program to tighten eligibility. It's 10 billion a month, there will be a strong incentive to curtail it

SSI should go through tomorrow, but I think food stamps are staggered out, like if your last name starts with A or B you get them on the first, C on the second, etc.
Might be a state-by-state thing and not federal, I'm not sure.

Fella, what part of "People will not be receiving SNAP benefits for the month of November" are you not understanding? People aren't going to magically get a month's worth of food stamps just because of a one day technicality.
And not all government disbursements occur on the 1st. I would always get my EBT on a later day because of my last name. My stepmom gets her retirement check on the last Wednesday of the month because of her birthday.
