apparently yeah, in some places. I can only assume its a very recent thing / in some select places, but I've seen its definitely a thing.

I don't think its a horrible idea since if someone lacks the ability to cook rice, 20$ invested into a cooker is well worth it.

Don't understand the hate on that at all, and people could just sell food stamps normally if they wanted to con people.

Like I said, theres too many pros and not enough cons for me to be against it.

Margins at grocery stores are single percentage points. I don’t think $8-10B/month is going to kill the industry, but if it continues, it could cause some stores to close.

If your area saw minimal action in 2020 then you shouldn't worry about anything but your CCW and remembering to lock your doors.
If your area saw lots of action in 2020 then you might need to be more vigilant but it seriously cannot be worse.
This will not be a "sweetheart riot" where there is no action against them. We saw from the ICE riots that the current administration will not put up with that shit again.

Really there's no threat of rioting at all, just increase in individual crimes revolving around theft. The degree of that increase is what you should be concerned with by modeling against 2020, which was not long ago and those people have hardly moved around since

during the 2020 riots in my area, only a handful of assholes showed up to be annoying at city hall. Nothing happened otherwise.

It is a poor county, but aside from the usual crazy homeless suspects, I suspect we'll be fine, but I'll keep an eye on my neighborhood in case an informed citizen shows up.

Most of the niggers and crazies around here understand their limitations, but we'll see.

Right, but this will affect the profits of supermarkets, which will result in layoffs, and possibly (if this continues for too long) even collapses of supermarket chains.

No benefits will have a knock on effect on the whole economy.

Profits will definitely take a hit, but i do not know that'll be to that extent.

Did you get that gun legally chud? Cause last I heard it was a three-day wait to be considered for a firearm, and there are even other licensing hurdles to disincentivize gun ownership. Chicago might get somewhat bad, but it shouldn't be to horrible(I was there on a work thing when the George Floyd riots hit), but take necessary precaution.

I'm mostly thinking they will get overwhelmed. Not just all the basketball Americans getting three meals a day out of it but there's going to be someone sitting right outside the door with an EBT card you can borrow for $20 to get a cheaper meal
