That's what's happening. I don't see anyone scrambling to obey this order.

This is probably a dumb question, but can the agency in charge of distribution of funds to states for SNAP/EBT, under the direction of the Trump admin, just decide not to distribute said emergency funds this judge ordered to have distributed?

Is there any way for a defendant to go "with all due respect this is not the jurisdiction of this court" without having to wait for the ruling to appeal it? We could save so much time if we could appeal to a higher court while the case is going on.

He's obviously actually listened to legal counsel for a change because what he says makes sense (and is part of exactly why these nationwide injunctions should be strongly disfavored). You end up with ridiculous situations with one court ordering you to do what another court has ordered is illegal.

I was reading Poor Richard's Almanack today and ran across a quote that sums up this situation:

"Most people return small favors, acknowledge middling ones, and repay great ones with ingratitude."

Unfortunately pork belly can be difficult to find since it almost all gets diverted to making bacon. I have an Amish butcher nearby who sometimes sells it. When I make pork belly, I make red cooked style, the recipe Chairman Mao's personal chef made.

My pig meat and beans dish is usually something like navy/great northern beans and ham hocks or a ham bone.
Oddly enough its the opposite here, decent bacon that isn't shit tier and mostly fat is hard to find, the good bacon is like $7 - $16/lb and somehow pork belly is everywhere and $5 or cheaper for a big slab of it, which is definitely a good thing cause its great in all kinds of recipes - if you've never had pork belly stir fry or chow mein you've been missing out

But yeah, if you can get it pork belly is definitely an easy way to stretch your meat for things like beans or pea soup. Not that you see too many EBT types buying the ingredients to make stuff like that no matter how easy to get and cheap they are. Gotta feed those 5 kids overpriced frozen crap and garbage, can't have them eating something healthy, cheap and easy to make enough for half a dozen people to eat for a week like pea soup after all

Lol no. We are in a hell where now the courts must fight amongst themselves in a cage match.

Its fucking crazy that federal judges are decided whether to jump into the fight on ebt and demand political solutions and resolutions. The political arm of the government is debating ebt funding but judges can just decide what, that ebt is a fundamental right under our constitution?

All judges are traitors and should be ousted.
It would be a mistake to even superficially concede they have such power, but it would be funny as Hell for Trump to say to the Democrats that the judges have ruled they must now vote to approve his spending bill.

No MAGA infant fascist child, it doesn't acktchually say the government would be funded
No, child, you did not fart in my wife's vagina.
No, stupidlittlebabyinfant child, I do not kidnap negro boys and grind them up into pepperoni
No, NO! CHILD! LITTLE BABY INFANT
SHUT your FUCKING MOUTH!

That would make the classic pork belly and cabbage stir fry dirt cheap. Just a bottle of shaoxing wine and black vinegar would last for a bunch of enormous batches. Those are pricey bought at white people stores but if you have an Asian grocery they're also dirt cheap (and you might get Chinese cabbage although regular cabbage will do).

As I thought, you don't understand what you're saying.
That is not a budget, but a temporary funding bill to postpone the shutdown until late November.
It serves no purpose beyond that, as Republicans refuse to engage in negotiations.
It postpones the shut down so they can properly negotiate. But the dems have nothing to negotiate, so they refuse to come to the table. Holding goverment funding hostage and hoping for riots on the streets is not negotiating, it is terrorism.

Considering that SNAP costs $8.5 to $9 BILLION A MONTH to fund, knowing that the USDA has, at most, $5 Billion in contingency funds...Just where are they going to pull the extra $3.5 to $4 Billion from to make up the difference?

Not enough can be pulled from other agencies since they don't administer Food Stamps and it seems they aren't willing to entertain the ideas of either reducing how much recipients get or tell a certain percentage of them that they won't be receiving anything.

It postpones the shut down so they can properly negotiate.
Why can't they negotiate now? Why couldn't they negotiate in the months leading up to the shutdown?
I have a gold nugget worth 20,000 dollar to sell, but I need to get rid of it quickly. If you send me 5,000 dollar in Monero TODAY, I promise I'll mail it to you.
