People in my neighborhood are collecting cans and whatnot for the food bank. I gave some pasta.

I still think this is a case of why we can’t have nice things. Yes, 90% of people on food stamps are obese workshy lolcows, but some people really are just going through something.

Maybe this will return us to a more vibrant system of private charity where moochers had to be friendly, charming, sympathetic community members to receive gibs.
 
Well, I'm going out to a no EBT world. Got my revolver for CCW. Let us hope it isn't like Fallout New Vegas and people are normal.

Ridiculous headlines in this country. “Hunger crisis”. Right or left. Starvation and hunger are abstract terms in this country and Americans haven’t known hunger for two generations. The idea that millions will feel starvation is an absolute joke. No one here even knows what these terms actually mean.

No. They've waved their little hammers around, but there's no money. The "emergency fund" can't keep the gibs going for even 1 month. They're ordering Trump to find money that doesn't exist. I think interesting times are ahead.

At first I felt bad because I had a naïve idea that only struggling families use EBT but then I found out people sell EBT to buy drugs and alcohol, and that video of the black guy saying "I'll never work a day in my life! White people, chop chop and give me some money so I can feed my family!" made me lose sympathy.

yes and no. an illegal can get snap if they're married to a legal resident or have anchor babies. the illegal doesn't get included in the benefit calculation but they have the card.

and then there's federal grant funded state programs that give illegals tax payer monies like the chicago resilency fund 2.0

People forget that Niggers won't start being grumpy until the food runs out and they discover they won't get the money for the previous month. So there is still some time for some laughs.

As for socialised healthcare, in the end the difference is that in a private system you are told to die because you are poor, but you might survive in debt or family aid. In a socialized system the government just outright decides to kill you if you aren't politically beneficial to them, and your only alternative is flying to a country with private healthcare.

No shit. I mean it is a joke here what passes for hunger. I was told the stories of my grandparents and mother eating week old cabbage for sustenance and what kind of person knows the recipe for boiling wallpaper to get the starch out for food?

These fat pigs can cry me a river. When they are 20 pounds under their appropriate BMI Index I’ll start to feel something

Went to my church and donated canned goods. I know my church provides meals instead of food packages. I feel bad for those who actually need ebt to live unlike the cows who abuse it.
 
I fully support children getting food though from school breakfast and lunch and food, even in the summer. They the only actual people at risk because of shitty parents and no amount of money put into EBT is going chance it. Actual having avenues to get food directly to children should be in a EBT reform and not just supporting the parents drug and alcohol habit or Walmart bottom line.
