I’m one of those that get subsidized health care so the dems can go to the floor for me. And I pay tax. I rightly deserve it if this government is going to allow healthcare to cost as much as it does. And im
No illegal either.
Most people with SNAP and subsidized health insurance work and pay tax. Even the severely disabled people on social security have to pay tax on that when income tax day rolls around. Some taxpayers need help and get returns on it. The programs are there for you if you ever need them. It's a tax. That's how it works.
I mean duh, this is why the leftists cope about Red States being a net drain with stuff like EBT is an obvious lie. Red States have a smaller population than Blue States so Niggers are even more represented as beneficiaries of these type of things. If Red States deported all Niggers and Spics to blue states then Red States would be using very little government assistance on programs like Snap and WIC
It's also that Red states have less population and more rural areas in general that just don't have any perspective of what's really going on in society. They are insular. They always do the same things. Every state has rural populations but the big cities are the ones where the majority vote blue and drown out the red votes. However there aren't any jobs in the middle of nowhere so a lot of people are just sitting around receiving welfare. If this gets interrupted they will notice really fast.

Reposting this here not just because I think the wording is a funny faux pas but also, apparently, there's work being done to fund SNAP and other programs without a continuing resolution.
Figured it's relevant. If anyone knows what the particulars are of how this looks, regarding a timeline to funding SNAP, input would be appreciated.
Now that D-day has come it's all Trump's idea. He probably will go through with this though.
What is the discount situation? Normal 25%-50% off on perishable near to use-by-date (perishable) food or already more on non-perishable food with longer use-to-date food items?
Halloween candy. That is on fire.
That being said, we got about $350 a month, plus a few hundred extra here and there when they kept adding on extra for schoolchildren as a post-COVID thing (three years later). I literally could not spend all the money. I had to get cash back every time (and no, you're not supposed to do this) in order to deplete the funds. I don't know if it's state-dependent but I can totally believe the stories of people buying luxury food, expensive junk food and soda, reselling food, etc.
How do you get cash back?!? Are you on EBT cash as well as food? In that case it's allowed. So is it really that easy to get money out of the cash register with SNAP?! In big box stores?
This is true. Prepared food is not covered.
As long as it isn't hot yes, though a few states ( I mean like 2-4) have special exceptions for homeless people that don't have a home to go cook there.
And that's the thing. The reason that you can buy microwave dinners and other prepared foods with SNAP but not the hot rotisserie chicken is that the program was originally intended for people to get produce and raw ingredients (including seafood and steaks!) and cook them at home. We didn't have all this bullshit junk food: the entire aisle dedicated to chips, another to ice cream, cold brew coffee at gas stations, and frozen pizzas back then. The rules have never been updated. Some states do restrict what can be bought on EBT but not many. This is one of the main issues people are pushing to reform.
While it goes State by State, most states EBT doesn't expire. It just keeps going forward.
See, I don't think people are mad about the normal stuff. Even the cookies and the junk food and a case or two of soda isn't that bad.
What people are mad about is the hot food. Going to Popeyes or whatever, the fraud, the grift, the outright cheating.
The reason that salons, small gas station owners, fast food workers, etc, are doing this is because they are getting the same cold hard cash the big stores get when people use EBT. The cards only restrict what you can buy with them. Once the payment goes through it turns into legal tender to be spent on anything. People are always going to do things like this but that is a major issue.
