what the fuck can these judges do? Order SNAP funds to materialize from the Aether?
As crazy as this is going to sound, there is precedent for that.

In this case: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DeRolph_v._State the court found that the state wasn't spending enough money on its schools, and literally ordered the state to spend more. Literally, "we order to you pass an appropriations bill that we feel is 'enough money'"

I heard about a different case, but couldn't find an article about it, where a judge took over a school district and was ordering them to do things like build specific buildings and authorizing specific blueprints. All in the name of "muh racism" of course.

I keep wishing that some judge will do something truly crazy - like countermand a presidential order to deploy a naval aircraft carrier to some region. Like trump says, "I'm sending the USS Gerald Ford to the Mediterranean" and some random judge in Nebraska issues a restraining order for some reason (climate change would be an awesome one).

I wish for that because (a) it would be hilarious and (b) it would finally force people to admit that a judge's power is not without limit.

This is one of those issues were, every single time I've tried asking a random lib that I meet in IRL about it, they can only say "that wouldn't happen." As in, "do you think a judge has the authority to issue a restraining order preventing the president from deploying an aircraft carrier somewhere?" and the braindead lefty can only say, "that wouldn't happen"

I don't think there will be much of any rioting. Rioting tends to occur when people feel insecure due to actions taken by others(often cops as in the case of all the major race riots in the last 50 years).
Rioting is when other people are rioting and others join in. Nobody just wakes up and says "Tally ho I do believe I will riot today for entirely rational reasons." It's entirely whether other people are already rioting and giving you safety in numbers and you want yourself a new teevee.

So if a critical mass of a certain demographic starts rioting and looting, the rest will join.

The more I think of it, the more convinced I become that the whole civil rights movement was a front to push communism in America.
After the "New scam deal" by the socialist TDR it was the third greater action of communists (banksters and associates that wanted to secure their monopoly by means of the polity) against the founding fathers vision, the first having been the civil war.

Don't know if this has been posted yet, but people were making fake posters for restaurants saying they'll give you free food if you show your ebt card.

I wish people wouldn't do this as it could put customers and employees in danger if someone flips out because they fell for this. There are actual restaurants offering free meals to children and "pay what you can" meals. Most people try to pay a dollar from what I've heard on the local news. These are restaurants offering real meals. Not McDonald's slop. I haven't heard of anyone causing trouble yet. But if it gets really bad tings could change.

I heard on the radio that it's been a bad year for Philabundance already. Hopefully there will be a good turnout at Camp Out For Hunger on the 10th. People are going to need it.

I asked someone I know that goes to a food bank if there were any extra poors at the free food place today.
They said that yes, there was a larger crowd than usual.
No riots or anything though.

You know it costs like 9 billion dollars to fund SNAP for just one month right?

What would 200 million dollars do?
Literally one sentence before, dumbass.

"It doesn't matter to voters that what is going on with the White House is privately funded (and on a different scale, the entire renovation could fund food stamps for maybe a day or two)"

It doesn't matter what the dollar amount is. It's the optics. 56-61% (depending on the source) of Americans disapprove of the renovation, whereas only 25-28% approve. More Americans are blaming the GOP for the shutdown (52%) than the Democrats (42%). The timing is awful. These numbers are up from 45% blaming the GOP as of Oct 22 per Quinnipiac. The GOP are losing the image war here. It's not the money, it's the message. It literally doesn't matter that it's a fraction of the money. It literally doesn't matter that it's an executive branch thing, not a legislative. It literally doesn't matter that it's a private donation that's funding the renovation. None of that matters.

All that matters is that American people are seeing the White House getting $200M for a 20,000 square foot ballroom at a time that the government can't even be funded anymore, something that is increasingly being blamed on the GOP, not the Democrats.

Two reasons.

1) It's a slow taper off rather than a hard cut

2) It's too cold to riot in most of the US.

We're getting snow where I am this weekend. That shit will snuff out a lot of social unrest real quick. If this continues to drag on for further into November, I can see the apes rioting, especially around thanksgiving when they can't get their microwave fake turkeys.

Brb, gonna start paying for everything "on a tab".

Not really sure what's the point of talking about the corruption when the goal is to get them back on track.
It's the same thing as talking about how much of a national security risk and tragedy the deficit is while simultaneously passing a bill that increases the deficit by 10% ($200B/year).

They'll talk a game that resonates with their voters and then proceed to not do that. It's why people fell in love with the idea of DOGE until it was revealed to be the complete hoax it always was. We can't "optimize" and "cut waste" and "clamp down on fraud" our way out of this deficit. Republicans (and Dems) have been lying about that. It would take huge, meaningful, drastic changes in the amount of gibs we distribute to Americans. Cutting the entire food stamp program would only net us back half of the additional deficit the OBBB gave us. A quarter of our budget is just social security. Start there. It was never meant to be and should have never been use as a complete pension fund for our gerontological overclass of Boomers. It was meant to foray every day living expenses.

Niggers and paupers aside, right now, the most expensive, least productive, and oldest are the most politically active group that we have to cater to. Just SS and medicare (not medicaid) are forty percent of the entire federal budget. Boomers and Silent Gens are living large off of the tax dollars of everyone still working and they must be appeased at all costs. Of course these disphits were told that it was some sort of retirement account that is their money and not a rolling fund like any other entitlement so the idea of even cutting SS in the slightest is unthinkable to most voting Americans. They'll drive this country into the dirt until the day they die. As much as I think food stamps should be eliminated, the amount of gibs we spend on old shits who don't work anymore is fucking absurd, it dwarfs whatever we give nignogs to stop them from rioting. You had 45 (or more) years of working to save up for retirement. Couldn't do that? Tough titties, I shouldn't have to be paying for it.

Guess what 65s and up are getting right now? Free healthcare, paid by you. Free groceries, paid by you. Free living stipends, paid by you. Free housing, paid by you. They lived through the largest economic boom in human history and still need trillions of our tax dollars to continue subsidizing their greedy asses.

What trump says and what he does are often different. What did his lawyers say? I thought they communicated to the federal judges that they would fund(halfway) snap for November?
I guess ppl have found ways to remove the 'Sora' tag.
