Rate me optimistic, but I think White women are on Tik Tok seeing videos made by European women about the local diversity. They like their diversity at a safe distance.
 
I was trying to find a comic I saw where a man was like, "My culture is all about oppressing women and killing people that don't believe the same as me" and the woman got mad and told him off for being a MAGA Trump supporter, then the man said he wasn't that, he was muslim, then the woman apologized profusely but of course I can't find it now, grumble.

Glancing through so many other things online that say being against Islam is "ignorance" hurts my soul.

The thing you got to remember is that people who get online and post their face and voice are attention seeking leeches. For every one of them, there's probably 5 to 7 regular people to got better things to do, or know enough to keep their trap shut.

I see there are posts about people getting their full benefits. I guess the mass starvation is off.

I've heard that some states are funding it on their own now, but idk how true that is.
I wonder if it's a similar situation to this here (A) in Louisiana, where some folks got their money early on, but it was removed, are getting it again; however I think Louisiana is funding it from other state fund sources?

It still won't get the planes running on time for the holidays. The Republicans have no real choices between cuck to the Democrats, or end the fillibuster. There's no negotiation possible.

Ending the filibuster would be good for the American people, because we wouldn't have years on end of nothing getting done in Congress due to the minority party preventing votes on anything. Of course, the Republicans don't want to do this, because they want to reserve this power for the next time they're in the minority.

In 2012, the Democrats promised to end the filibuster. During Obama's first term, the Republicans effectively kept Barry's agenda from being enacted, earning themselves the epithet, "The Party of 'No'". Naturally, the Democrats welshed on this promise, so they could go on to fuck up Trump's 2 terms by becoming "The Party of 'No'" themselves.

Congresspeople don't give two shits about the American people. None of the ever-shifting list of issues that have been floated as reasons, from illegal alien healthcare, extension of the ACA subsidy, and even the ludicrous return of funding to NPR, are really what the shutdown is all about. It's a senatorial power play, nothing more, and these absolute cunts are holding the entire nation hostage with their reindeer games.

Senators are traitors.

What's funny is that there is a lot of fairly detailed program and program participant data:


But breaking it all down by amounts of dollars (v. individuals or households) is not something I have been able to find officially reported.

I have figured out that most of the above is based on the SNAP QC datasets, which is a semianonymized "representative sample"-based synthetic cohort. Which is machine generated and machine processed and not very human-user-friendly but looks like it MAY have the necessary information to break down SNAP payments by race/ethnicity if you cross reference a 100+ MB of csv/spreadsheets.

It may be it's not officially reported because the dollar distribution by race doesn't differ much compared to the individual and/or household distributions.

Or it may be $/race is not officially reported because it shows exactly what you'd expect and that might foment racial animus, similar to why various cities stopped reporting demographic details in crime data.

I'd kinda like to be able to break it down by income THEN race/ethnicity, because it might be that you see race distributions that just mirror the underlying income/poverty distribution.

But a fundamental point about SNAP is that, of the 100 billion tax dollars it redistributes, 75 billion of it goes to superstores/supermarkets (e.g., Wal-Mart). The "hungry children" angle is optics for what are fundamentally market subsidies benefiting large corporations at the expense of taxpayers.
