My understanding is that it's not SCOTUS, it's just Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson herself.

The order does not resolve the underlying legal questions raised by the case – and the Trump administration has already committed to using the program’s contingency fund to partially pay benefits. Rather, Jackson’s “administrative stay” freezes any additional action by the administration to give an appeals court additional time to review the case.

Jackson is the justice assigned to handle emergency appeals from the 1st US Circuit Court of Appeals.

Or, rather, the Times reports on a 32 year-old single mother from Passaic, New Jersey, who makes such a claim. The Times does interview other people, and Hernadez does have another, younger, son, but that’s not the focus of this post. Here’s an archive of the article to get you past the paywall.

The focus is on how Hernadez has a 7 year-old son with autism, named Xavier, who she says needs round-the-clock care. Despite being unemployed specifically to care for Xavier, she somehow got pregnant again. Xavier, like many spergs, probably has sensory issues as well as a rigid approach to all matters of daily living. Correspondingly, Ms. Hernadez had this to say about how the withholding of SNAP benefits would affect her family:

Before autism became 🌟 special 🌟 I would occasionally see articles about parents who solved their child's issues with a strict, unprocessed diet. I also recal seeing articles about a correlation between autism and car exhaust. Wouldn't surprise me if some issues would be solved by clean living.

I'm glad we've all completely given up on the concept of knowing anything for real and now we find facts by vaguely remembering tabloid bullshit we saw a decade ago.
