I'm late to the party so I'm sorry if this has been asked or addressed already, but what are impoverished people genuinely supposed to do to feed themselves and their family besides shoplifting and the food bank? I'm Canadian, so depending on the province there are government programs available to help supplement one's income, I don't think food stamps/SNAP/EBT are a thing here, at least they aren't where I live.

Cut back on non-essential (beauty, recreation, brand-name clothes) purchases.

I just want the USDA to win their case to get the missing SNAP data from the 21 states + District of Columbia that refused to hand it over. Somehow, the 27 states that handed the data over willingly only have 38% of the SNAP recipients living in their borders. You would think that over half the states would have at least half the recipients, but they don't. The math ain't mathing.

User blueid0.bsky.social replied to a year old post (BS) from a NJ market called George Street Co-op (A) offering guidance on a sneaky checkout script to deliver Unequal Treatment with... a toggling discount/donation structure called the "EBT fund"


The manager in question John Leary already made recent news by cucking out and cancelling his nigger discount within 2 hours of announcement (A) when the USDA's memo on Equal Treatment coincidentally hit his inbox:
