So what are your thoughts fellow gourmet kiwis on these hipster restaurants that sprinkle edible gold flakes and gold sheets on food to make it shiny and more expensive?
Do these actually change the flavor at all? Or are they completely pointless outside of bragging on instagram?
Apparently its not even harmful or healthy for you (correct me if I'm wrong) and the "cheap" ones just look like they threw aluminum foil on your food.
Have any of you had these and was it a pleasant experience? Have any critiques to share as well?
