I've never partaken in the nog of eggs. Not really a thing around here or a cultural practice of mine.
So I can't really say... but most things are better with alcohol so I'll go with that.
I've never had it even though it's easily available at this time of year. One of my friends absolutely loves the stuff, though idk if it's non-alcoholic or not.
I love me some eggnog. Though I agree that it can be kind of thick, depending on who makes it. If you don't want to thin it with alcohol, milk also works.
It's good as a mean to an end, it covers up the taste of booze well, and it's just a nice traditional beverage even if I don't ever want it outside of the holiday season.
My friend once made some eggnog that was a little thinner than the store bought stuff. That mixed with some nutmeg and served warm but not hot was so good.
