Elden Ring

A good chunk of the Elden Ring community on Reddit and Steam collectively shit their pants because the minimum PC specs dropped (and soon removed on Steam). Admittedly the RAM requirement was a little high. For weeks and weeks and weeks people were wondering about the PC specs but were always reassured that the game would be able to run on a potato. But then the specs drop and all the sudden there's laments and copium huffing all over the place. Anyway, hollows gonna hollow.

Man Elden Ring is gonna be great.

How is this game going to be a massive disappointment?
It's pretty unlikely to be bad. Fromsoft has never had an outright flop with DS2 and Sekiro being their worst games. While not as good as their other offerings those are very solid titles.

The only way I can see this getting bad press is if the PC version is borked in some way.

From what I've seen I think GRRM did very little than perhaps some lore for plot related characters characters. When the game was first announced people theorized it would go with celtic influences because of Martin's Irish and anglo ancestry, but instead it went full Wagner. So someone involved in making the story is a fan of germanic mythology.

It does not seem to have any similarities with A Song of Ice and Fire
My theory for his involment is "hey we need a name and a light backstop for this list of characters" and that's it

Trying to decide which class to play. Probably going to play the wretch because I know the souls formula combat.
I'm going samurai. The power of weeb compels me, plus sleep arrows get my peepee hard.

The PC spec recommendations are pretty based. The games not even out yet and it's already entertaining me with the tears of reddit poorfags.

Was having at least a 1060 that bad? The damn thing came out in 2016.
To play devil’s advocate a lot of people have trouble finding any kind of gpu upgrade at the moment. I’ve been sitting on a 1070 for years because of the crypto shit, and later the wuflu shit. Thing’s perfectly good for what I play, but every time I’ve looked into upgrading shit has seemed dire.

I feel you. I spent the time around this time last year camping out the Best Buy website during drops to finally get a 3080 at regular price (to upgrade the long in the tooth 1060) and after seeing the shit Best Buy is pulling now I'm really glad I did. I don't think I'll be upgrading this card for another 5 years.

I don't care if they're shit, I'm maining twinblades. Failing that, powerstanced katanas. It's nice to see some of the cool shit from DS2 make it in.

Base requirements are making me wish I'd upgraded my card before the wuflu shit, but what can you do. It's not like work'll accept camping Best Buy as a reason to take off.

Dex heavily depends how good bleed status is in any particular game. Most bosses could be bled in DS3 so blood twinblades with high dexwere pretty kino.
