I think it's situational, and probably Mimic is fairly build-dependent, but others still get use from me. Like the Jellyfish is good for keeping aggro on mobile/teleporting bosses, and I haven't beaten Malenia yet but Black Knife Tiche seems to do best against her since he seems to have similar AI but hits faster, staggers her, and fucks with her health bar.
Some of em could do with more health though. Omenkiller Rollo seems like he should be useful but goes down way too fast.
There is a video out there where the Ashen Nobles just stun lock Malenia down so the player can blast her at their leisure.

An upgraded jellybro can tank absurd amounts of damage. I used the +4 to tank multiple bosses that could one shot me and even after hitting it like twenty times it was still at half health.

Sorry if this is a bit off topic, I ended up with an extra EMEA Steam key for Elden Ring. If you're in Europe send me a DM and I'll cut you a really good deal.

Yeah mine was dying pretty quick when I first tried it so I figured it was based off your stats because I also die pretty quick. Now mine's at +10 with a healing spell it like to spam so it never dies (except against you know who).

I think Malenia is just weak to stunlocking in general.
Yeah if you can get her stuck against a wall, at least in phase 1. Doesn't help as much in phase 2.

Sounds like I'm complaining but I've only tried about ten times, pretty sure I'll get her next time I play. I almost beat her last night but I had my seal in the wrong slot and muscle memory fucked me. I just gotta spam rock throw when she's doing her long recovery scarlet rot attack and she'll go down.
People are calling her the hardest boss evar but she's definitely got nothing on Orphan.

Orphan was super easy in my experience, he's just another cracked out spidermonkey like alot of BB/DS3 bosses and he doesn't have the annoying gimmick of Malenia.

Jesus Christ, an entire lake of Rot and no Torrent to ride over it.

Anyone here experienced the mage boss glitch yet? Rennela or whatever her name is - if you coop with someone on their first try, there's a chance that the golden orbs won't summon on the minions so there's no possible way progress. I'm stuck at big lad little horse so I've been helping people with various bosses but that glitch sucks hard. Especially when you can't communicate with people cause everyone has voice chat off. Worth keeping an eye out for though if you get into that boss room and can't find the golden orb girls. They won't spawn so it's a straight quit out.

Maybe because I was a caster forced to melee that fight but Orphan was a lot more technical than other BB bosses. Cracked out yes, but rewarding to have to study every single move. You can do him consistently once you get it but it takes a lot of fucking elevator rides to reach that point.
Malenia meanwhile only has like two attacks that you have to care about, everything else is trivial.

Serves em right for wasting people's time by summoning before practicing a bit. And making em watch cutscenes. Good job From.

Also everyone keeps mentioning the horse but I never noticed it outside the funny festival intro. He was just a big dark blob of hair and knives to me. Apparently he doesn't have legs either?

I just beat Radahn after seriously considering just skipping him; lotta bullshit in that fight, I honestly think it's the battle thatll turn a lot of casual players / first timers off because its such bullshit.
The worst part is I only managed to beat him because of cheese, my usual strats / build were inconsistent. Sometimes I'd get his health mega low, other times I'd not even scratch him before dying. He's so aggressive.
The dragon rot breath melts him so you can just focus on evading his attacks though so...thats what I did, fuck that guy.

His feet rotted off because of the, well, rot. I've read speculation he uses gravity magic so he can keep riding his horse, but I haven't read anything in-game that confirms it.

I should have known From wouldn't let two characters that have been nothing but nice to you live. At least the Darkmoon Greatsword is, as the kids would say, fucking sick.

The horse is probably an outsider god he enslaved. deep lore

Finally made it to the bottom of the bullshit shaft at the starting area with the instakill trolley thing. Fuck that piece of shit Ulcerated Tree Spirit. The fucker has a seizure as soon as I walk into the fight and dunks me immediately.

Stay next to him and spaz right back. They're counterintuitively only dangerous from a distance and mostly can't hit you if you're on top of them apart from a couple of ultra telegraphed moves.

But how do I survive the initial spaz attack when I enter the room?

Misc tip: if you have a weapon that restores a little HP upon killing enemies, it works simply by having it equipped while a death is happening in the world at all. So if you're low on health while co-oping just fall back and whip it out while your friends deal with the mobs and you'll get a good chunk of it back. I know for a fact it wasn't like this in DS3.

The only landmasses I haven't explored are the volcano and ice area but somehow I've missed where to buy prawns and I don't have any good crystal tears for magic, for that physick bottle thing, can anyone give me a little hint?

Boilprawn Shack is North-West of the telescope in the lake area, you can see it among some trees with the scope (it looks like a shitty shack) if you need to narrow it down, which is how you're meant to find it for the volcano maid quest, but it ain't exactly hidden.
Bubbles for your tea pretty much all come from minor nerdtrees, either sitting in front or held by the nearest miniboss. There are some exceptions like an invader at a church in Atlus who has a special one though.
