His questline doesnt end there. He shows up again at the revengers shack in early Liurnia, but drops the same things ( I think ).
Does he drop the shibari grape if you kill him early before he invades? If not you're locking yourself out of Lightseeker Hyetta's quest.

Pleasantly surprised to see some actual help instead of the "git good lmao"

Killed another two mini bosses (that weird death bird thing and the two dog things in the underwater cavern) surprisingly easily so I'm either getting much better at the game or I completely fucked up the progression path and went in the most obtuse and retarded way possible. It's given me a lot more hope for tackling Stormveil Castle again but I'm gonna keep ticking off more minibosses until Godfried. A bit more vigor will probably help and I could really do with sticking more into endurance so I can hopefully get back down to medium build again.

Haven't killed the sleeping dragon yet because those 3k dragons are probably going to be good for farming later but given how much time it takes to kill them I might just destroy sleepyboi and slaughter a bunch of those small 1k mooks with the long lances.

I'm also mad I put so many points into that (idek what it is but it boosts discovery) because I heard it scales bleed damage only I don't actually HAVE any scaled bleed damage weapons and most of them favour DEX. I know if I ever get around to a respecc my build is going to be a LOT better but for now it's good enough to comfortably destroy most mooks.

I assume you're talking about Arcane.
I think Arcane boosts dragon incantations, and how fast bleed builds-up. Bleed damage procs a set amount of an enemies health as a percentage (With around 100-200 flat damage on top of that). Dex will boost flat damage, Arcane will boost bleed build up speed.
Clear the entire southern peninsula (ignore caelid for now, its really hard compared to the next region)
Kill Godrick if you feel that youre ready then go to the next region. If you beat the major dungeon of that area you get the ability to respec.

Also summon Nephali Loux (npc summon) and jellybro. Nephali will probably die at the end of his first phase but by then jellybro will have procced poison on Godrick which he's weak to. The arena is pretty big so you can run away from him as the poison saps his health.

Jellybro has been surprisingly helpful throughout my run, there's times where it's straight up retarded and gets ganked by 3 different enemies at once and that's the end of that but most of the time it'll just gently fuck with the major enemy and cause enough distractions (and poison damage) to allow me to sneak in a quick critical or two. Might give it a big boost too because right now it's only +1 and I know for a fact that people talking about Godrick usually have +6 weapons and +4 summons by then and my highest weapon is still +4.

Guts sword (yeah, I'm still calling it that) is getting a LOT better now I'm getting more comfortable with it and for the first time in the game I'm starting to make larger enemies stumble and get spread wide open for an assfucking.

If I were you I wouldn't worry about trying to grind too hard until you're done amputating the King of the Grafts because once you're done that you can start continuing down huWhyte Faced Varre's quest and unlock the suicide bird farm and kiss goodbye to your rune woes for the rest of the game.

No, he doesn't drop his grapes if killed early, BUT a grape can found be on his daughters corpse if you did kill him early, have fed Guetta 2 other grapes, and have been to where he's supposed to invade. It's so bizarre that Hyettas quest is uniquely impossible to fail without outright killing her.

Suicide bird farm has been patched I think as of 1.05.

The grape appears around where his daughter was sitting, which is where I killed him. I wouldn't kill him before finishing the boss of Castle Morne and getting him to go back to his daughter, but it doesn't hurt anything if you kill him after all that.

I have the skeletons but I'm hesitant to try them on a boss. I know how they work, they resurrect unless smashed in a downed state, but all bosses are dial-a-combo with plenty of ground and pound so it's hard to know how useful they are.

The gargoyle dungeons are pretty good so far, it's fun in a creepy way because at any moment a tiny creature could be shanking your ass, plus they're short. I'm warming up to the game and it holds my interest, but it's not god tier good. breath of the wild is the better exploration style game

Something I would have liked to see in it is a recovery/wake-up system. Something like when you are getting launched by a boss tap a button before landing to get up quickly at the expense of some stamina, or tap repeatedly while on the ground to expedite it at a cost of more stamina, FP or HP. It's a bummer when the boss or enemy launches into their combo animation, hits you to the ground, then the player character is locked to the get up animation and you, the player, knows that there is nothing you can do to influence what will happen 2 seconds from then.

Fromsoft Veterans are actually really helpful so as long as you want to get better at the game and aren't throwing a hissy-fit. "Git gud" is typically reserved for sore losers who take to the Internet to bitch about dying over and over.

I can vouch for the wolves handiness against the fullmoon witch. Totally destroyed her at +5

I need to level arcane 4 more points to use Smarags bresth

The Suicide bird still works what they did patch was an easy way to kill that entire map. You can still kind of do it scaling the blood wall but honestly its better to kill the bird and the frogs.

Wait there was a way to kill the entire map? Go on...

There is a spot west of the suicide bird site of grace where you can jump off the cliff and never die, eventually you get so far away from the map the whole map is killed get about 130k runes but it takes a while. The way to get up there was to use the column/archway south of the bird grace and then follow the wall NW to the jump off spot. But they put a wall up by the archway with the last patch. Now you can do it a using the Blood wall near the Bird Grace. Use Torrent and jump up the blood wall at the southern spot. Its more of a pain in the ass at this point, the pre patch route was consistent. Wave of Gold + suicide bird is faster overall even pre patch.

For Arcane to scale status you specifically need Arcane scaling on a weapon with status buildup. This works by either infusing the weapon with bleed/poison to give it both a status and arcane scaling or infusing a status weapon with bleed/poison/occult to get the attribute to scale the initial status and also give either a new status, increasing the innate status, or giving arcane scaling to the status while gaining physical scaling. Arc scaling also doesn't scale things like frostbite or scarlet rot build up so do keep that in mind when picking infusions or base weapons to infuse

For spells, while they may REQUIRE Arc to use they don't scale with the Arc unless you equip a staff or seal that scales with Arc- namely Dragon Communion Seal and Albinauric Staff. These afaik scale both the sorcery/incant scaling AND the status build up of spells cast (so long as they're poison or bleed- frostbite, madness, and rot are all predetermined with no set way to increase buildup this way either. Do correct me if I'm wrong though!)

That should cover it but if you want to know more about Arcane here's a Fextralife link: https://eldenring.wiki.fextralife.com/Arcane

Unrelated to the above, I have a new appreciation for the Crystalian ashes- the tiny rings it throws are amazing at drawing aggro and when you can take the heat off of it the whole 'stagger removes defense' really isn't a problem. It can even deal with groups pretty effectively with the blender attack. I might start looking into the Page ashes though- that one helped my first playthrough against Makar despite the fire damage bolts it fires, maybe I forgot how good it can be?

Spent about an hour grinding to get my strength up enough for the Greatsword only to discover that it's absolutely fucking awful. Not enjoying navigating Stormveil castle either.

Honestly I'm starting to think I'm reaching my peak with the game, but I thought that with Margit before finally slaughtering the cunt. Might see if I've missed any dungeon bosses to tick off before giving Stormveil castle another try.
The greatsword is great. It and the zwheihander the most versitile of of the UGSs because you can infuse them. You just need to pair it with the right ashes. I’d recommend giant hunt, which you wont have by the time you’re in stormveil, or bloodhound/quickstep. It’s crouch r1 is one of the single best moves in the game. Warcry with the roar medallion is also very good for pve.
