How do you infuse weapons, I think this is the first I've heard of it. Is it an ash of war? If so, does it remove the ability of the weapon(I fucking need quickstep)?

I was also a dumbass that almost exclusively leveled dex and FP a whole lot for 75% of my current levels, because bandit, despite never upgrading weapons. I beat Margit with 550 hp at level 25[???] and weapons at +0. Now I'm going HP only and it REALLY makes a difference.

Remember that you can tap the button towards the end of the animation when chugging the Not-Estus flask and take another swill to save time healing up.
Bro that's respect, I was able to beat margit at level 50 (because I'm a retard)
that's skill right there

That's pretty frigging impressive, tho.
Quickstep, brah. Plus jelly. Shamefully I summoned that NPC in the end and that destroyed him.

Without the NPC I often got him down to 25-35% health but at that point all of my flasks had run out and jelly was dead. I couldn't quickstep without FP. That means I had to roll out of an attack chain and I find that so slow and unpredictable. I tried several times without any armor so I could have the fast roll but it didn't matter, halfway through the second phase he always got me.
Then for the first time I saw that golden message on the ground when trying yet another time while entering in way that enables me to immediatly summon the jelly a bit on the right side. Luring him into a corner beating up on the jelly seemed like the way to go.

At a later point, in stormveil, standing on a ledge, I tried to appreciate a message and pressed B/circle to back out of the onscreen prompt. Still an idiot. Ponder my bloodstain.

I slammed my head against him at level 12 like a retard until I finally sat down at the bonfire in frustration and got the dialogue to go to the round table. Then I beat him at level 20 with a +2 greatsword and spells. I felt like such a dipshit.

Yup. I know all the mistakes I did in DS1(my first Souls and I went in blind with no internet) and I have repeated them in Elden Ring for reasons that is hard to understand, I should know better. I refused to use smithing stones the same way I refused to use titanite, because I'm saving those for something that isn't an early game weapon. That's dumb thinking and goes against the grain of the game design.

What is the advantage of Quick Step? It seems more like a PvP kind of weapon art.

More I-frames, faster than a dodge roll, and unaffected by equipment load. Bloodhound step has even better range when you get it.
I was just about to ask where to find this guy because I went to the shack where this guy is but I defeated Elden Beast and so fought a very easy red phantom. I followed a wiki, went to Volcano Manner, still can't buy the weapon arts, then went to a seemingly random location in Crumbling Falum to fight the dude as a red phantom, go back to Volcano Manner, and finally you can buy the weapon arts... Sheesh.

If you haven’t got it already, the bloodhound step is dropped by the night cavalry in dragonbarrow, above caelid. He spawns at night on the second smaller bridge.

first time I beat Malenia without BHS today, lets go. Was on a powerstanced CGS character too, usually I parry her.

Quick Step and BloodHound Step are crazy bro. Theres a reason Quickstep was locked to shitass daggers in DS3.
Ofc theres no real reason to use QS when BHS exists. BHS is fucking busted.

Its right by one of those mage towers you see all over the place. Bloodhound step is great, I slap that shit on literally everything.

Can you progress Fia’s questline if Rogier dies before you give him the knifeprint?
It seems to me that Fia will automatically move to Godwyn (and leave D dead) once the Roundtable Hold sparks, but I'm not sure about whether Ranni will give you access to her old body for the half mending rune if you never confront her with Rogier's suspicion.

I usually do her shit before i burn the erdtree. You just have to hug 2x then give the knife to D after you sit at an altas grace once
So you can, but you might not be able to get Ranni’s half of the cursemark?

I did Ranni's quest without even knowing Rogier had more to his questline and I still got the Cursemark and Mending Rune of Death. It was in 1.02 but I'm pretty sure it's just baked into her questline.

Yeah, you can get the mark without Rogier's questline. It even affects Ranni's dialogue as she believes your devotion and allegiance is genuine rather than transactional.
