I had the hardest time with Malekith until I got a buddy to hop into my game and help out. The first phase is pretty easy, but I really struggled with that second phase, especially against those flame attacks. Malekith is a glass cannon, but he's super zippy and challenging to read. Wound up walking all over Placidusax right after by just sticking to his back and wailing away. The fight was super cool though, he's got a lot of cool looking attacks and the weather change during his second phase is neat.

It's weird how some bosses you'll really struggle with, and others you'll breeze right through.

Yea if I had to nail down my main complaint with this game it's that boss difficulty is all over the fucking place. Margit and Godrick are fairly difficult but then Renalla is one of the easiest Souls bosses ever. The whole game is like this.

That goes for every souls game. All of them have hard bosses, followed up directly with a boss so easy that it feels like the devs fucked up. Just look at Ludwig vs Living Failures

The second stage of Renalla looked pretty cool, summoned to a different arena with a different vibe and all, but it was over almost immediately.

I haven't played the game for a couple of days since I'm stuck at Radahn and he's no fun, but before that I was riding through the lakes area at night and a deathbird showed up. Not a problem. Then a land octopus came spinning into the fight and now there was a problem.

I finally met (and beat) the Godskin Duo and oh my god, fuck that fight! That fight was the first time I felt the need to grind enemies for the sole purpose of leveling as well as look up a guide to help me deal with two bosses at once within a tiny room. Sleep pots. Lure one of the duo away from your npc ally and sleep pot it. Then gang up on the bosses two on one and beat them down. One of the duo returns? Sleep pot.

This is the first fight that I did not enjoy. I'm fine with fights being hard but this fight just felt flat out cheap.

Then there’s bosses that some people have no issues with that others just can’t figure out, and visa versa. I’ve only died to Sulyvahn a couple times, but the crystal sage kicks my ass every run.

Hell, even considering the boss rush at the end of the game...

Godskin Duo
Maliketh
Gideon
Hoah Loux
Radagon

One of these Is not like the other. It's like they wedged Gideon in there to give you a break lol.

I'm at Elphael now, not sure how to deal with the roadblock of the tree avatar flanked by all the soldiers. I know there's a way around on the righthand side, but you have to get through at least three Cleanrot knights and the area they're in is pretty tight. Definitely not charging in headfirst. Is there another way or do I just have to suck it up?

There's a site of grace behind him by the spill way leading to the Melania boss fight. He's optional you just run right past him.

Just hoof if. The erdtree avatar is slow as fuck, and the Knights won't catch you before you get to the grace point.

Alright I made it to the grace, took the basement route and just sniped the tree avatar and soldiers from afar. I most likely won't bother fighting Malenia but I wanted to see how far I could get through this area.

He's pretty dangerous if you get hit by his comet spell. That shit one-shot my first build, and that was with pretty high magic resistance. If you unload on him right at the start though he completely fucking falls apart.
