Paul Tassi is a fag. He might as well stretch that piece out into a ten minute video. Wait another few days for TGA.
My guess is that FromSoft will likely announce their DLC’s there and hint at a new game series at the Tokyo Game Show.

I like their shit even if Armored Core was kind of underwhelming.

ture thay didn't announce dlc before the armored core sale hit a brick a bit I bet with happien. if had happen in all
Most other popular mecha games tend to split the combat with ground on foot segments or visual novel story segments.

Pure mecha combat gets boring very very quickly.

I feel like half the fun of mecha is getting moments where you shred through niggas and then encounters where you are forced to deplete ammo during an ambush.

My only issue with AC 6 was not having an ambush mission like the Red Guns mission in an open environment. Having a heavier mech aggressively target you while a more agile one tries ti flank you. They had you be the ambusher more often then not.

I'm starting to get concerned about the DLC. Wondering if it has had troubled development, like they don't really know what to do with it. At this point the only thing that would satisfy people is, like, half the original game at least.

I have almost no hype for the DLC. I already said here the reason, if they keep their tradition of making the DLCs way harder than the original game this expansion is going to be pure pain and frustration. Malenia and Godskin Duo are already impressively terrible bosses, imagine something even worse.

It's probably going to be similar to the co-op areas from DS2. Sheer retarded level design just to appeal to the tr00s g4merz.

I can't wait for the DLC to come out, and be about some plot element completely disconnected from all the theories.
I hope they actually revive the Dream mechanic. Would be a neat way to fight an enemy prior to getting fucked up in the Shattering. Basically just Radahan stepping off his horse in a Dream to give you a duel.

I hope to god they don’t give us a Squalid Queen boss fight.

I just hope the obligatory new open world area doesn't take too much effort away from the standard dungeons I expect to see there. I still hope it focuses on Godwyn and to a lesser degree on Miquela. What I'm pretty sure we won't see is any closure to Melina and her weird cinematic in the flames of madness ending.

Which is a shame since I have wanted to kill this bitch ever since I got the madness ending. But I think they will ignore that as well.

The DLC will probably be in the past just like almost every DLC in the series.

I am half expecting the DLC to be some kind of Scholar of the First Sin thing overlaid on top of the base game. There is so much cut content to pull from, no matter what they do I will be there to check it out.

Definitely, I'm mostly just hoping that it's not something completely out of nowhere not related to what we know. Like about a different Elden Lord than Godfrey or something of the sort. I'll still play it mind you, but I rather it ties into shit I am aware of, though Miquella being the figure in the teasers calms that scenario. I also imagine a landmass will come out of nowhere in the middle of the map and that's where DLC land will be.

My personal bet is "dream land" shenanigans.

Most of From's DLCs have filled in gaps left behind by the vanilla game so I expect this to be the case. Dark Souls 3 is the only one I can think of that was almost entirely removed and didn't answer any questions at all.

I'll be satisfied if we get development for Miquella and Godwyn, though I would personally like more development for the Gods in general (which seems possible given the hair IDs for young Godfrey and Marika)

I'm trying not to build my hopes up too high but at this point I'm half expecting the expansion to mirror the first game in progression, but we will see. If it does, I expect we will see future/past dream versions of every major player.

I also want that mysterious cloud zone in the center of the map to be... Something. A super endgame legacy dungeon with a hard boss would be cool.

In general around what level (based upon past FromSofr DLCs) would this one take place? Right before end game? Around midgame?

From what I remember the DLCs are usually pretty hard and built around late game characters. I'd say level 90 to 100+ would be expected for Elden Ring? But it's hard to say for sure given we know nothing about it so far.

The DLC area will be on the map screen there but it'll just be the location for fast traveling to the dream world or time travel bullshit like always. I assume it'll be grafted onto Atlas to show it's time gated to that level of progression.
