I’m pretty sure the entire Two Fingers-Three Fingers- Greater Will is in setting supposed to be a conflicting cluster fuck because history got rewritten in the game.
There is a theory from this Youtuber who applies autistic archeological principles in his lore investigations that the Two and Three Fingers were once part of a single Divine Hand before a great schism occurred. It's a lot to get into so I'll just post the video.

That guy is mostly a medieval history fan (mostly reading off Wiki’s, but I appreciate the autism regardless). His own theories are autistic and a lot of the stuff is motifs carried from Dark Souls. GRR Martin basically wrote some characters and then From Soft did everything else.

think Radagon either never loved Renalla
Radagon being a misbegotten who became human via being bonded to Marika in some way helps to further explain the way their relationship worked and makes their apparently contradictory goals make a lot more sense. He was a Misbegotten who basically became the ultimate golden order simp.

I always assumed this was the case, albeit it would be nice to have some kind of hint alluding to it. One set representing order, the other chaos, leads me to believe that there was some kind of breaking point that drove the fingers apart.

Nah, my theory is he was misbegotten and then became a human and then much later merged with Marika.

Wonder if there was ever a monument or church built to some sort of divine hand, a Cathedral of Manus Celes if you will.

Personally, I don't really buy the whole 2 + 3 fingers = Divine Hand.

My view is that the Greater Will as described by the Fingers is evil. Marika herself is odd because she does have some sort of plan to kill the Elden Beast. There was life prior to the Greater Will sending down the OG tree going by the ruin sword.

how does the ruin sword suggest there was life prior to the Greater Will?

To me she definitely was planning to wrest control from the Two Fingers/ Greater Will. Only with her as the supreme being.

It was hit by a meteor, but I’m unsure if it’s Radhan’s death or the initial Erdtree fall from the Treater Will.
Or any other meteor? There were other meteors that fell before Radahn stopped the stars (see, e.g., Astel, the Fallingstar Beasts, the meteor field in the Weeping Peninsula).

It’s a legendary weapon. Either it gets the Gravity magic from Radhan or the previous civilization.

brother i am now realizing i misread this original post and i apologize. you were discussing life prior to the Erdtree, not life prior to the Greater Will. you are correct that there were civilizations before the tree, including Farum Azula, where the Ruins Greatsword originated.

I think that the Greater Will as described by the Fingers are evil.

The Ruins Greatsword doesn’t say if Astel or whoever was the nigga who hit Farum. Or if it was the Alabaster/ Onyx niggers who taught Radhan and don’t get any lore. It has gold, but it doesn’t look like Farum to me, but I’m fucking blind at times.

don't just rate me autistic explain how I'm wrong.
Radagon is Marika's overactive tulpa, he didn't exist before she made him and put his face/dick on for a while to go fuck rennala. He then made the misbegotten at some point and gave the first/his favorite another one of his creations, the holy order greatsword.

Man I just can't deal with phase 2, there's so much shit going on I just get paralyzed without sacrificing an ash or just magicking him down really hard.

Fuck I really wish this game had a remembrance system like Sekiro, I want to be able to practice bosses without starting a whole ass new game.
To be honest, when I took him down, I think I got lucky, he didn't dump as much bloodflame all over the place so I wasn't taking bleed procs out of nowhere. Phase 1 is very methodical, though he has a lot of moves that fuck with your timing, phase 2 on the other hand is hectic as all hell. Definitely would not say I mastered it, but a win is a win.

As for remembrances, definitely. I did play a lot of the boss rush mod for Dark Souls 3 and that one worked well, I imagine that something like that exists for Elden Ring as well so might be worth experimenting. Well, unless you are a console pleb, in that case I still have a slight hope that the coliseum can be revamped to also include fights vs bosses.

So she has schizophrenia...

Explains why she shattered the Elden ring, married a bloodthirsty savage, became a trany, married a woman, married a misbegotten, and threw her omen babies in the sewer, banished one of her sons to the shadow realm while doing nothing to keep her family from killing each other.
Women. :coffee:
