The homosexual pedophile and his underaged transexual sex slave boss fight was nerfed in the latest patch. I really don't know if it was substantially improved or not, and I have no desire to replay the game to check it out.

Patch notes for 1.14: https://en.bandainamcoent.eu/elden-ring/news/elden-ring-patch-notes-version-114
Radahn's everything was nerfed, but in weapon balance I'm very confused why they buffed colossal and great weapons as in my experience they're already the best weapon classes. Even though they only buffed uncharged heavy attacks and normal attacks that makes getting that final poke in on a boss much easier.
Although everything else looks fine, but Radahn really should have been nerfed earlier.

How does anyone do multiple playthroughs of this game? The first third of the game, even in the NG+ cycles, is so fucking boring. How do you all stand it?
I just do shit out of order, and I enjoy getting to play with late game toys. Once you get past the first new game it becomes faster and easier to snowball all the way to the end in a fraction the effort.
It feels like the franchise has attracted too many "action game" players instead of "strategy/rpg game" players
The playerbase became obsessed with playing the games in a very rigid and boring way. Use non buffs, no spells, no incants, only roll spam and r1 with a straightsword or you aren't playing the game right.

Elden Ring becomes about a trillion times easier when you realize that the shit the game drowns you in is meant to be used and not ignored.
but Radahn really should have been nerfed earlier.
How many whiners are going to crawl out of the woodwork and demand they buff him again for being too easy, because they want the bragging rights?

Maybe a few? But I don't think too many I've seen more complaints about hoe difficult he is than being wanting him to be harder or being okay with the difficulty.

I wish I had waited to fight Consort Radahn, because looking at comparison videos, he seems far more reasonable. At least I get to say I beat him pre-nerf.

Newest patch was definitely needed.
  • Radahn has been NERFED
  • Backhand Blades NERFED
  • Scattershot Throw and Spread Crossbow NERFED
  • Shitscript shield (Captain America aimbot shield) NERFED
  • Weed Cutter NERFED (It didn't deserve it)
  • Great Katana offhanding NERFED
  • Pretty much every weapon's uncharged heavy attack was BUFFED (swings faster)
  • Colossal swords BUFFED (swing faster and move farther)
  • Some small and medium shields have been BUFFED
  • Swift Spear NERFED
  • Rellana's Twin Blades BUFFED
  • Rellana's Cameo Talisman BUFFED
  • Rellana's Twin Moons BUFFED
  • Aspects of the Crucible: Thorns and Bloom have been BUFFED

Fucking why? I thought one of the main points of the DLC is that Kindly Twinkella wanted to create a Radahn he could to command to wreck the anus of any who would interfere with his retarded plan. It's breaks the lore to nerf him.
Because he was a chore to fight and not fun. It was Fromsoft trying difficult for the sake of difficult

I do appreciate a boss who asked the question, "What if I just superman punch this nigga the second his ass walks through the door?"
But like bro, there's Orphan Of Kos hard and then there's oh my god what the fuck is this.

Because I still haven't used all the interesting weapons/spells yet.

The first third of NG can be compressed down to ~5 hours, less if you're willing to skimp on how much upgrading you're doing. There are all sorts of areas/mini-dungeons of the game you don't have to engage with because there's nothing you really need there, aside from maybe sprinting through them on Torrent to get to somewhere else. Killing all major bosses in the base game + DLC can be done in well under 35 hours without speedrunning and while hunting down and upgrading a bunch of weapons.

Yeah I got to Radahn, saw that fight and said fuck it im not "finishing" the DLC. The battered housewife psychological trickery aint working here.

I didnt ignore pots, food, incantations etc. because it made the game harder. I ignored them because of how retarded the control scheme is in ER. Any other game that had a idiotic rolodex item management system in 2024 would be roasted endlessly for it.

Of course if you allowed me to bind using specific ability to a specific key it would quickly show how much of a gimmick the difficulty in ER is.

The nerf reminded me of my big criticism of post launch ER which was - What's the fucking point of having a beta a weeks beforehand when you only give it to your biggest dicksuckers who unironically call Radahn a good boss fight and then immediately say it took them 5 hours to beat.

If I were a game dev, I would also listen to the sweaty fanboys over random twitter tards.
It makes sense to me to first appeal to those who support you, to the point of fanatical worship.
And I would go even further and say that a lot of games would've been better if such a thing was more widely applied.

You can do that for 4 items.
You can also hold up on the d-pad to go back to the first spell you're attuned to. It's really bizarre and explained absolutely nowhere, but it can ease up the smashing of the up button. Leads to some weird ass DDR commands, especially in PvP if you're cycling through tons of spells. That being said, 90% of people will have like a buff or two and a single damage spell.

Because it was a terribly designed boss fight, what the hell are you talking about? Fuck the lore, the gameplay shouldn't take back seat to vibes.
