The problem isn't difficulty at all but rather design philosophy, mechanics and essence. To be truly fair, the game itself is not bad, it is fine, although the stealth mechanics are underbaked. It is just not a Soulslike at all, it is not a RPG, and FromSoft meshing its design with the Souls formula is how we got Elden Ring (particularly the DLC) terrible bosses and spam dodge design.

We have lost the grounded RPG medieval fantasy vision in favor of things getting more and more "anime", a trend that accelerated after Sekiro. I am fine with the game as it's own action-adventure thing, it is only when people mention as being part of the Souls genre and as such an example to be drawn from that I have a problem with it. The Souls trilogy and Sekiro are two very different types of games and experiences and mixing them just makes a mess
And then there's shitheads like you who want the same slop over and over again. This community is like splitting an atom. There's enough fucking souls and le dark fantasy vidya for you to be happy why not encourage such a studio to try new things even if it fails lmao. Why don't you just play the Berserk dreamcast and ps2 game or read the manga, fuck off retard.
New unfamiliar games would be better than the usual assets FROM my last SOFTWARE with the same movesets and gameplay over and over again. Kuon:

Oh so you're even worse, you're a demon's souls hipster fag. That makes even more sense.
That's the best part about Sekiro.
This shit right here is why I say Sekiro fans are tourists, get out of the community and go play some more action-adventure slop like Uncharted and Ghost of Tsushima. Soulslikes belong to Real RPG Patriots

I don't want the same thing over and over again actually but I want the design of the series to continue being a hardcore RPG and a rejection of the trend towards Animization of the games and bosses. I would be more than happy with them doing a more tradicional RPG, like Elders Scrolls and Witcher series, with the Dark Souls systems and philosophy.

Elden Ringu is shitty because it's just another gook anime game full of homosexual garbage in it.

I only like Dark Souls 1 because back then only real men played these games, nothing of faggot anime shit in it. Look at DS1's most important boss for example. He only fights with one hand like a badass motherfucker, his signature move is a 10 feet high summersault and he screams like Goku to increase his KI during phase transition. Way different than the cocksucking shit anime we have nowadays.
Most articulate and coherent Brazilian monkey

None of it is a hardcore RPG go play actual hardcore rpgs lmao.
What I mean by hardcore RPG is RPGs with a high difficulty and a high skill ceiling, not complex/deep system RPGs, like Pathfinder: WOTR. Also as far as Action RPGs go, Dark Souls is a fairly complex RPG, particularly compared to the mainstream competition, stuff like Skyrim/Oblivion, Witcher, Cyberpunk, Dragon Age, etc

I just finished my first post-ER DS1 playthrough, and now I'm back in Elden Ring. Goodness, this feels fast, and while I never felt deprived for lack of jumps in Dark Souls, it does feel nice going back to a game with an additional axis of motion.

Try Grim Dawn on expert

This shit right here is why I say Sekiro fans are tourists,
How does liking Sekiro and the rest of their games make someone a tourist? It's not like it's called Sekiro-souls.

If you ONLY like Sekiro and want Souls games to be like Sekiro more than anything else then I could see your point but that's not what I said.

The reason elden ring bosses are dogshit isn't because fromsoft copied the sekiro design, its because they copied the sekiro bosses without copying the sekiro moveset that said bosses are designed around because the average souls player will shit themselves and go into a panic if you offer them more than 2 moves at the same time.

Elden ring bosses are perfectly balanced if you have sekiro abilities. Someone modded lady tomoe malenia into a sekiro and shocker, it actually works perfectly.

You're forced to spam dodge in elden ring because fromsoft didn't implement sekiro style posture, deflects, evades, interrupts, prosthetics, proper combat arts or any of the other mechanics that sekiro had to deal with 38 long boss multihit combos.

The journo that tried nightreign said that nightreign has a sekiro class so who knows, maybe fromsoft learned their lesson this time and its not like they're above copying assets from their last software.

Elden Ring without PvP is like laying in a sunny field with puppies and kittens. After having farmed invaders for so long, it's nice to unwind

Is it now time to admit that Dark Souls 2 was better than 3?

Because it was.
Not only is it not better, it's time to admit that if 2 didn't have "Dark Souls" in its name, it would be treated as a Lords of the Fallen tier pile of trash. And also admit that the shilling for it is entirely based around contrannysm and at this point nostalgiafaggotry.
It was experimental
It literally wasn't. It's a hodgepodge, madlib OC donut retread of DS1&DeS without any of the talent that made those 2 good. All the le experimental buzzwords are foisted onto incredibly minor, generally worthless shit mechanics that get blown way out of proportion. Like bonfire memesetics, a shitty mechanic that in practice people only use to power game NG+ items early and grind soul memory by killing the Rotten over and over.

Actually seeing garbage like Archtrones firsthand, it can conslusively be said that DS2 feels like a shitty mod that was officially licensed. It resembles that more than anything else.
none of the Souls/likes after DS2 change anything for their NG+ cycle other than numbers.
The NG+ meme is the most hilarious one, as the fags crowing about it literally do not know that it's just perma-Gravelording (DS1), which itself is a variant of World Tendency(DeS). And that DS3 had +1 +2 rings and upgraded soul item drops in NG+ too.

Only heckin DS2erino gets to have credit for anything, mainly because the person crowing knows dick all about the other games. And it's the worst one to boot, cause instead of the fun gravelord spawns like the serpent in Sen's, you get even more trash mobs in the game with a ton of shitty trash mobs.

AND the sum of changes are still so minor that the constant evangelizing it gets is just astonishingly delusional. The way fags like you talk about it, you'd think it's completely transformative and makes it basically a different game, when it's just like a 1% difference between NG&NG+. The best thing it does is change a chest into a mimic, wow really sth worth spitshining for 10 years lilbro.
