Feel like they would have been better off making a dungeon crawler game like the labyrinths from Bloodborne. As tedious as those were they were still the fun souls combat moment to moment.

If this game is already not testing well I can't even begin to imagine the scrambling that will occur to fix Duskbloods.

It's like the devs saw my personal webms - where I shitstomp Elden Ring from two hours into the game when I get the Bloodhound Fang, until they jack up the scaling to 11 with Malenia - and designed the complete polar opposite experience. Now you have literally no time to explore or level up because the fortntie brap cloud will be coming for you in ten minutes, so you need to rush and rely on good RNG to have a fighting chance. I never thought I would live to see a fromsoft game designed by Miyazaki be balanced by RNG. Horrific.

Duskbloods has more of an uphill battle because its an exclusive to an overpriced console by a morally bankrupt company like modern Nintendo. Makes me wonder what Fromsofts next actual game is because having two lukewarm games in a row is going to tarnish their reputation.

Playing with randoms is absolute misery. Will not follow pings. Will run away from fights and will leave you to fend for yourself. When I decide to just follow them they will stand there and do nothing expecting you to lead them even though they decided to fucking run off. Will sometimes make it to the end of night two with the default weapon still and probably unleveled. Itemization is awful most of the time. Sometimes you'll get a god tier weapon that can carry you through all three days. Sometimes you won't get jack shit

This game is a really mixed bag.

Played a few runs with randoms and couldn't get to the final boss in any of them, lack of voice chat makes coordination impossible and seemingly everyone I got teamed up with were complete retards, I could see it being fun with friends but unfortunately everyone I know who likes souls games are all console plebs and solo mode is hilariously overtuned at the moment so it looks like I'm shit out of luck lol.

The biggest problem though is that the runs just felt very samey, the pace is so fucking frenetic that you're pretty much forced to immediately rush to the churches to get more charges for your estus and then kill whatever you can find as fast as possible to get more levels before the stupid fortnite circle is on your ass, very little time to explore or anything else and this is bad since a game like this depends on every run being a unique experience to have any sort of longevity.

I do like the new mechanics that the different characters have though, looking forward to the mod autists porting that along with the new armors and bosses into the main game.

I have a far fetched schizo hope for this game, and that's that it kills the hype for fromsoft and soulslikes in general.
They've been trendy for a few years now and it has made the fandom suck and the design of the games even worse.

Random jerkoffs who have only played Elden Ring are making videos lecturing old players who don't like the new design.

Maybe if the mainstream culture fucks off we can get back on track to good fucking souls games.

"Slower input delay than ER making everything from movement to attacking feel clunky"

Chat is this real? So much for faster paced high octane combat. Imagine having worse input delay than a fucking PS2 game from 2001.

Duskbloods is so utterly fucked. I'm not sure if there'll even be bait posted about the game on /v/. It flopping is such an easy prediction to make that I might as well be a southern Cali weatherman.

Duskshit gives me Devil's Third vibe. A game most of you probably don't even know exists.

But you only need to read the first line of its Wikipedia article to understand what I mean: "Devil's Third is a 2015 action-adventure game developed by Valhalla Game Studios and published by Nintendo for the Wii U"

Can someone who has played sekiro tell me if the sekiro character actually feels and plays like sekiro?
The deflect system is copied directly from Sekiro, but because of how chaotic Nightreign’s battles typically are and the pretty apparent difference in movement between Wolf and the Executor (especially since entering parry stance slows your movement), it’s hard to say that they play the same. I don’t think it’s a wise idea to play Executor as a defensive character anyways when his defense stats are so low, giving you little margin for error in an unpredictable co-op environment where the boss may or may not be targeting you at any given moment.

Best case scenario the fromtards will just say "it was an experiment" to excuse the dogshit design, like they did for DS2.
I actually agree, it is basically just an experiment. The part I have a problem with, is that this experiment should have been an option added to the Elden Ring main menu, maybe for like ten dollars or something. I fail to see how this game qualifies as a standalone title, especially for a new project utterly unlike anything else they've designed. They did something completely different to what they're known for, and still expect $40 each. And their next game will be made alongside Nintendo, the absolute worst company in the industry. Unreal.

It makes me start to question if I was a fucking retard for liking these games in the first place.

If fromsoft forward ported sekiro to nightreign it stands to reason some autist could probably backport it into elden ring and we can finally get sekiro 2 in the form of an elden ring conversion mod. I remain hopeful.

People have already ported Elden Ring bosses to Sekiro, so if that’s what you’re looking for, it already exists.
